"Its nice to have laundry"

"Elevator was out of service on arrival and our room was on the 2nd floor (with 3 flights of stairs to get there). Although a staff member carried our large suitcase up, we trudged along with our other bags (we’re both 78 years old). The hotel was not in good condition and we did not think we could manage the stairs every time we needed to, so we checked out within 30 minutes of our arrival and also cancelled out the following day’s reservation. We were not advised of the elevator situation prior to arrival, nor were we offered any compensation for our prepayment. We would like to know our options for getting a full or even partial refund, as we had to find alternative lodging and prices were very high for this specific weekend. Thanks for your assistance."

"The hotel is under construction. The breakfast area was messy, dirty and the health department would have closed it down. The food selection was awful. Cold items were not on ice or kept cold in any way. IF I had known the hotel was under construction even with breakfast included (which was awful), I wouldn't have stayed there."
