"The bar was stoked and the air-conditioning was very cold. I had to turn off and get a blanket. Most of the staff are not people or service friendly. A few that stood out were Ana in the buffet, Alejandro in the timeshare area, Elias that took us over to the timeshare, the young lady that served us in the "reserved"outside timeshare bar area. Our daughter was ill 2/2 water contamination and was limited on what she could eat as she was bedridden.There was minimal help in getting food to her from the folks in charge. Room service was not available on several occasions to bring food to her. Our VIP status meant nothing. "

"This gorgeous resort exceeded my expectations in every way. Our week was luxurious, peaceful, and beautiful. All of the staff were so kind and attentive. We were assigned our own trip ambassador whom we saw in person multiple times but also was very responsive through a WhatsApp group she set up. Rafaela helped us schedule restaurant reservations and fitness classes, arrange transportation, and most helpfully of all was there when I needed a doctor and didn’t know what to do. I was so grateful to be able to visit the doctor they have onsite 24/7 and even walked out with the prescription I needed in hand. I have so many examples of ways the staff went above and beyond I wish I had space to name them all. The grounds were immaculately landscaped, the interiors were styled to perfection, and the pool and beach were so picturesque. I was constantly marveling at how much more beautiful it was in person than even the photos could show. Our villa was visited by housekeeping twice daily and kept looking flawless. They even swept our patio and skimmed the plunge pool. I should also note they brought in an entire extra bed without my asking so all three of my children could have their own bed. The food exceeded my expectations. The kids were thrilled with 24/7 room service. The restaurants were all wonderful fine dining experiences. Everything was plated like works of art. The breakfast buffet was the most elaborate I have ever experienced. Thank you, Cayo Levantado Resort! "

"Majority of the staff was very nice and accommodating especially since we did not speak Spanish. Most speak only Spanish but tried to understand. Be prepared for a lot of cigarette/cigar smoke everywhere especially at the beach "

"Very helpful and friendly staff and a good location for our needs. Set in a golf resort so great for golfers visiting the island. This hotel is in need of a renovation it was looking a little tired. The room was satisfactory the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower worked for the most part, the safe however was broken and the ripped curtains wouldn’t close properly but on the positive side the antiquated fridge and microwave did work. Although this hotel was on the cheaper side of all inclusives in the area I don't feel it was value for money they certainly didn’t invest in good quality alcohol and food. Only one restaurant with buffet style food no à la carte menu choices and very standard offerings such as chicken white fish and pork cutlet, pasta and rice at every meal. I was looking forward to a few nice rum cocktails by the pool and a complete relax but the low quality of the spirits made this impossible. I didn’t know it was possible to have a bad rum in the Caribbean The wine wasn’t good either. The staff were doing the best they could I really couldn’t fault them always smiling and happy to help."
