The nearest sandy beach is about 2 km away in the neighboring fishing village of Freest. During the summer season, you can also take a small ferry directly from the Kroesliner harbor to the island of Usedom (for people and bicycles). There, you'll not only find over 40 km of fine Baltic Sea beaches, but also many worthwhile destinations, such as the seaside resorts with their piers. If you don't want to drive on the island of Usedom, you can use the Bäderbahn (spa train) or the well-developed bike paths.
