Escape to paradise with this beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit on Oahu's stunning Windward North Shore. Located on a quiet street near beach access to a gorgeous sandy beach, this newly renovated unit offers the ultimate Hawaiian experience! Within walking distance of Kokololio Beach Park and kid-friendly Alligator Pond.

The first bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, a large walk-in closet, and air conditioning to keep you cool during those warm tropical nights. The second bedroom is equally comfortable with a cozy queen bed and air conditioning. Need extra sleeping space? The living room nook offers a queen bed, so everyone can enjoy a good night's rest.

Unwind in the spacious living room, furnished with a plush 3 seat couch with chaise, two armchairs, and a large TV with streaming entertainment. Gather around the 6 seat dining table for a delicious meal prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is stocked with essential amenities and features a shower/tub combo. The laundry room, complete with a washer and dryer, also has a half bath with a sink and toilet, making it convenient for all guests.

NOTE:
* The North Shore is one of the best places on Oahu to find untamed Hawaii as nature created it. The flora and fauna native to our ecosystem are a part of its splendor. In addition to the brightly colored tropical fish, on land you can anticipate seeing houseplants the size of houses, wild chickens & roosters roaming around, adorable geckos, tropical birds and the full menagerie of insects that sustain them ... some rare and beautiful (ex. Kamehameha butterflies) and others are decidedly less so. We will always have a clean and well-kept place for you that includes routine pest control, but please be advised that little visitors are not uncommon, esp. if you decide to attract them with unattended food.

* Our inventory of beach & sports gear is constantly changing as things get added or replaced. Such is the nature of outdoor "toys." It will always look similar to what you see pictured but may not be EXACTLY the same. Feel free to inquire about anything specific you've seen in our photos and we'll let you know of any changes.

* For security and other reasons, map pins on this website show the approximate, not precise, location of rental properties.

* This is a DUPLEX UNIT where the adult homeowners and their dog live upstairs. There are no shared interior spaces and each unit has a private entrance. Guests do not have access to the yard or experior space beyond the parking area.

Nice accommodation for a family. Nice size closets 1.5 bath, washers and dryer, and close to shopping. Beach access within walking distance is not appropriate for young children. We would stay here again. Polynesian Cultural Center is only 5-8 minutes away by car. Host was easy to work with.

The place was cute and we loved having two bathrooms. The location was good, but there was no beach access — this might have been due to the time of year. I wish the listing would have mentioned that during certain times of the year, that you wouldn't have access to the beach, as it's why we picked this certain location. We had little kids with us, and while it worked, it might not be the best setup for families with small children. Our little ones made some noise and ended up annoying the upstairs tenants, but we were out of the rental for the majority of the time. The upstairs tenants were early risers, and seemed to be moving stuff around every once in awhile. Overall wasn't too noisy. Luckily, there were many great beaches within 5 minutes and overall was a great location and a great stay.

The place was beautiful and clean. Loved that it had air conditioning! I didn’t need to contact the property manager at all but the fact that they had someone available at all times if needed was great. Definitely recommend booking this spot!

We enjoyed our week at this property. The beds were comfortable the AC worked great and loved being able to take a quick walk to watch the sun rise each morning. The kitchen was filled stocked with all the items we needed. The beach gear was great to be able to use. The down side of this place was that

Beautiful 1st floor stay

The property is perfect for a place to stay while you visit the rest of the Island. There is not an outdoor space, but we'd rather go to a beach anyways! Upstairs property are pretty quiet neighbors, and the unit itself cooled quickly with all the A/c Units. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and beach toys!

Booking host terrible, home was as advertised

I did not stay at this listing. I stayed at Makua Sunrise. But, the booking host was terrible. She told us we could rent this property even though we had kids. I got a warning after paying for the property that we had to confirm that we didnt have kids. Instead of refunding me and starting over, she changed something on the backend of this site called Hostably, which ended up costing me over 20 hours of confusion and frustration prior to leaving. She was difficult and i was not able to track ANY of my trip through VRBO even though this is where i paid. It was all through a site I have never heard of and caused a LOT of confusion. I asked if she could match the price of this rental since this was 100% her fault and she refused. The house (Makua Sunrise) was fine, pretty much as advertised. But, I would beware of working with this host Brea.

Wonderful accommodations and close to the beach!

My husband, my 18 y/o son, my 15 y/o daughter and myself stayed for five days at this wonderful little gem. The accommodations were perfect, allowing everyone privacy but still being close together. The owners really thought of everything, the amenities were spot on, from all the kitchen gadgets to beach gear. If we ever come back to O’ahu, we will definitely stay here again! Mahalo!

Home Away from Home

Obviously we loved Hawaii as a whole, but the location and accommodations of this property just made it feel like home. The area is perfect for those who want a more casual local feel rather than a busy city stay. We were able to walk down the street and access the beach or with a 5 minute drive in either direction a beach park. This location allowed us to access the North Shore locations that were on our must see or must do list with ease. The property had everything that was needed to make meals which is why we chose a house over a resort. It also had everything that was needed and then some to head out to the beach every day and feel completely prepared. The property care takers live up stairs and they are super helpful, accommodating and inviting. We could not recommend this property more highly. Book it for your next Oahu stay, you will not regret it.

Short and sweet

Our stay was short but this place is just as described. We enjoyed our time there and found that they had everything we needed. The shower head was awesome. The amount of towels and just everything you could need in a vrbo was fantastic. I do wish the checkin time was earlier being that our checkout time was much earlier than check in but it’s no different than the hotel check in and out times. The close walk to the beach was short of amazing. If you’re ever on this side of Oahu, definitely book here. 5 min away from the PCC and Tamura’s is right down the street. You can’t beat that.

Overnight stay

Our stay overnight was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils for making breakfast in the morning. Then a short walk to the beach revealed a rocky shelf with many tide pools. I would definitely stay here again if staying in Hauula.

Absolutely Stunning Retreat in Hawaii!

Our stay at this house exceeded all expectations. The location was perfect – just a short walk to the rocky beach where we were lucky enough to spot sea lions basking in the sun twice during low tide. The house itself was immaculately clean and beautifully updated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Being within walking distance to amenities and food made our stay even more convenient. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a dream getaway in Hawaii!

Overall very enjoyable

Pro/Con-The beach at the end of the street is so-so at best, but it is only a <5 min walk north to a great beach area (Kaipapa'U) with bathrooms, shade and good waves. For most people this is an easy walk. But for my elderly dad, he couldn't safely walk from the end of the street up the coast a few minutes to Kaipapa'U, because the access to the beach by the house was more of a rocky, boulder-strewn pier. Instead, I had to drive him from the house about <1 mile up the highway to get him to the beach each day. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind.

Family vacation

There was 5 in our party. The home was in a good location, very short walk to the beach. The home owners were nice, friendly, helpful. The day we arrived, we was greeted by one of the owners. He told us to make ourselves at home and anything we needed let him know. The place was just what we wanted, clean, good location, well stocked, very cute,. Friendly , helpful owners well stocked. My family and I loved the place, and if we go back to Hawaii this is the place we would stay. Loved it.

Perfect Home Away from Home

Our group had an amazing time staying in this VRBO. The communication with host was great and we were given all accommodations promised to us by the listing. All 6 of us had more than enough space to sleep and lounge. Definitely recommend booking this slice of heaven!

We had a lovely time during our 4 night stay. The hosts were friendly, quick to respond and the place was stocked with some nice amenities. They even brought us pineapples which was very sweet. The recent remodel and furnishing were really nice too. 10/10 recommend.
