We rented the Braff's house to reunite with our neighbors who moved away a few years back. I'll start by saying the location is fantastic. literally no more than half an hour to anything you might want do. Silverwood 20mins, Lake Coeur d'Alene - 20 mins, tons of restaurants, etc...
That said, the setting of the house feels like it's miles from anything. The boat slip and convenient but rarely used boat ramp less than a mile away is so great. The location of the house in relation to the main part of the lake is great as well as the house sits in a small cove area of the lake and isn't racked with boat noise and waves all day every day.
The house itself is very lovely. Comfortable and new with great touches of home. The fire pit and screen porch were our mainstays during our trip and they do not disappoint. The screen porch was so amazing as the screens not only kept the bugs out but also helped to keep the wind at bay when we had a storm roll through while we stayed there. We ate dinner every night on the porch and watched bald eagles and osprey fish.
The kitchen is amazingly well stocked (best we've seen in a VRBO) and was really very comfortable with an amazing view of the lake.
The owners were so great to deal with and responded to questions within minutes on the few occasions where we needed help. They left our two families a fantastic basket of smore fixins with everything we needed for a great night at the fire pit. They also did an amazing job of trying to stock the house with everything you might need at a lake house, about a dozen life jackets in various sizes including kids, some basic fishing gear, SUPs, nice kayaks, a hatchet for splitting wood, etc.
If I was to offer one single negative critique, the water pressure was a source of frustration throughout our stay. We mentioned this to the owner after our stay and learned that due to the extreme hard water in the area, it requires that the water filters be changed almost weekly. The water tasted fine and we had no negative issues other than at times showering was frustrating toward the end of our 10 day stay.
5 out of 5 stars and hopefully we can get another trip planned for this house before it fills up permanently.
