Great family retreat

We had a fantastic time renting all 3 cabins for our entire family. Loved having access to all the kayaks, SUPs and canoe. I highly recommend for a group getaway to the lake.

Great location for Hayward and the snowmobile trails cozy comfortable accommodations

The place was great clean comfortable very well decorated the owners were very accommodating and wanted you to enjoy your stay had a wonderful time snowmobiling highly recommend the place don't think you can go wrong with renting this place

Great property for a group

The ability to use all three cabins, very close together but each with their own beds and bathrooms, was a perfect set up for our group of teens and coaches/chaperones. Owners were very helpful and the property was well set up and very clean.

Animal Prints

Loved the properties, lots of space indoors and outdoors.Wildlife prints on and around the properties. Daughter seen a black bear cub, on and around the property . So we were caution and enjoyed are stay.

February 2023 Snowmobile Getaway

My husband and I stayed with 2 other couples for a snowmobiling trip! We had a wonderful time. The cabin is very comfortable, handled all of our needs nicely and is in a great location for accessing the snowmobile trails and lakes. We will be back!

January snowmobile trip

Had 3 couples stay in the wonderful cabin for the 100 mile vintage challenge in Hayward. Although the lake wasn’t rideable due to ice conditions the main trail was very accessible by road! The cabin was well outfitted with everything you’d need. Would definitely stay again/recommend to others! Thanks Pat for sharing your cabin with us!

Perfect for a large family

We had 5 different families celebrating a variety of graduations, anniversaries, and birthdays. It was great being able to cook our own meals and have plenty of room to play games. Lots of fun equipment to use outside. Plenty of space so everyone had some privacy.

Good little property in a beautiful place

This is a very nice property on Hayward Lake. We used all buildings on the property and they might best be described as quirky. Everything works as it should. The kitchen facilities are very good and the beds are very comfortable. The sliding doors could use some lubrication and the water sports equipment are a bit scattered about the property, but no one would complain about real problems. We would stay there again without a doubt.

Christmas Snowmobile Trip

My family stayed in all 3 cabins. It was amazing! Everyone had their own space, but could all come to the big cabin for meals and family time. We went to snowmobile, but the trails were closed. So, we found other things to do. My grandkids all want to go back in the summer so they can use the kayaks, etc. Patrick could not have been more accommodating due to our unforeseen issues. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Charming Hayward Retreat

Four friends gathered at the Spruce Chalet for a weekend of cross-country skiing. The place is quite charming. The large windows in the living room offer a great view of Hayward Lake. We would love to see it in the summer. The interior is spacious and comfortable, including the beds and the pillows. The one of us who brought a pillow from home didn’t need to use it. We loved having the fireplace (it’s gas or electric) and had it on whenever we were in the cabin. In addition, the chalet is well-supplied--with kitchen implements, linens, games, and books. All of us agreed that we would definitely return.

Fantastic Stay!

We had a group of 3 - 16 year olds and 4 couples. We rented the large cabin and one of the smaller ones. It was perfect! Both cabins had plenty of amenities: Towels, bedding, pots and pans, condiments, up to date appliances and very comfy beds. The view was spectacular. Felt very private but was minutes from downtown Hayward. It was a little chilly when we went but that is what campfires are for! They had lots of kayaks and life jackets and canoes. It was a wonderful trip for our family and can’t wait to do it again next year!!

Family Reunion

We all loved the location & facilities - secluded, quiet lakefront with beautiful view. There was plenty of room for each family to have their own space in comfortable "up north" surroundings. Host was extremely helpful & responsive. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Good getaway

The cabin could’ve been attended to a bit more is what we all felt. The towels felt dirty and basics like soap and shampoo are not provided ( although mentioned in the listing). This is the first property we have been to that had a coffee machine but nothing available to make even 1 cup of coffee. No coffee, sugar or creamer at all. What does it take to keep the basic requirements. No one needs 3 jars of salt. There was no iron available either and communication with the owners was really delayed. We contacted them twice during the trip- both times delayed response. We requested for an hour late check out and by the time they got back, we had already checked out before the estimated time. Overall we had a good time because we were with friends but not the greatest place to feel cozy in.

Group of 10 / snowmobiling Feb 2022

Beautiful property on the lake. Parking is somewhat challenging with multiple large trucks and trailers but definitely a nice place to stay for a weekend away. Friendly owner with quick responses to questions.
