"My husband and I enjoyed a week in Mill Barn in early June. Unfortunately the weather didn't want to play along so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful garden as much as I had hoped, but that was no loss - the cottage is adorable inside too and it's perfect for cozy cocooning when it's rainy. "If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest."

"On arrival we were unable to access the property and had to wait for another guest to let us in. Smooth check process thereafter, Michael receptionist lovely and welcoming. Property description is not entirely what it seems as whole chalet is a bit miss leading, the rooms are part of a large building and spacious, clean rooms. "Great location with OK rooms. Not fully functional elevator and a lot of stairs to the 4th floor. A bit strange and not very intuitive breakfast setup - with a mix of serving some guests while others prepared their own food in the same place. Should be more separate and more information about what to expect here. I would not call this a "lovely continental breakfast" - and the cleaning in the breakfast room was not up to the standards it should be."

"I was very happy I paid extra for a Seaview room, the room was large and the view fantastic. Great location, right on the seafront, lovely and easy walk to either Brighton or Hove. My only concern was the bath/shower, it was an over the bath shower that was very narrow and slippery, I was very concerned about slipping."

"Very nice place to be and the location was great for us. The staff are all very cheerful and happy to help. Buffet breakfast was good too although we never did get our fried eggs. My only real problem was the hotel was very hot both in the room and the bar area."
