Denali Hideaway is located a half mile off of the Parks Highway, nestled in the small town of Healy, just 11 miles north of Denali National Park. Built by a talented local carpenter, this breathtaking, beautiful Alaskan home is an excellent retreat after a long day of adventuring in Alaska's Interior.

Our two bedroom, one bathroom residence is attached, yet private, with an entrance of its own. It comfortably sleeps four with a queen bed and two twin beds, full bath, living room with a mini-fridge, microwave and other small kitchen appliances to make your stay more enjoyable. The home's original owner and master craftsman took precise care in the building of the entire home - including crafting all of the home's ceilings, support beams and intricacies.

Located in Healy, there are a variety of restaurants, a local brewery, a small convenience store, a quaint local coffee shop, an Alaskan lake and many local trails. For more entertainment, restaurants and activities, simply drive 11 miles to just outside the entrance to Denali National Park. This bustling tourist hub, known to locals as "Glitter Gulch", is home to dozens of restaurants, nightly shows, several gift shops as well as your gateway to many more adventurous activities.

Location and view were great! We really enjoyed our stay and meeting many individuals within the community. Overall, the cabin was very clean, with the exception of a few of the pans that had had burnt on food and carbon that we needed to remove and clean before using. We had a great stay at Denali Hideaway! Convenient location (15 min to Denali NP), with dining options nearby. Kami is one of the most generous hosts in our experience with vacation rentals - more coffee than we could ever drink in a 2 day stay, plenty of towels, bug spray and even bear spray. The unit was clean and spacious. Kids enjoyed playing Jenga & Uno and we loved all the national park touches (down to the Kleenex boxes!). She’s really thought of everything. Kami was also very responsive & proactive with communications. We would absolutely stay here again if we plan another Denali trip!

We had a great time here. The place has lots of thoughtful touches and the hosts were very friendly. You do have to drive down a gravel road for a bit to get there but it was worth it for a cozy place to stay and a far more affordable experience than staying in Denali itself. It’s only about a 20 minute drive to the park.

Cozy Small Town Cabin

This was a very cozy space from the intricate ceiling beams to the throw blankets and floor lamps. We appreciated all of the thoughtful little touches like the stocked kitchenette, complimentary toiletries, and bug/bear spray available for guests to use. Healy itself is cute and a gorgeous drive away from Denali NP. The Tomkha soup at the Asian To Go restaurant was the best and I've tried many Thai restaurants. Our only critique is that the thermostat was broken so the heat ran regardless of our desired temperature. This was mainly an issue at night because having the blinds closed limited the amount of airflow possible through open windows, making it uncomfortably dry and warm for sleeping. Would highly recommend this place to anyone conditional the thermostat issue is resolved.

beautiful and spacious. 2 adults and 2 teenagers and we had plenty of room. very private but convenient. Could see the northern lights out of the bedroom window! Host was informative about the area and quick to communicate.

Everything you might want

This unit was perfect for our needs. Super clean, comfortable had all we wanted, and host was very responsive! The architecture was impressive. Location awesome for access to national Park!We visited in shoulder season, early April and many local restaurants not open yet, but we had options.As noted in property description, it's a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. No opportunity to cook dinner. Every thing you might need for breakfast and making sandwiches for lunch to take on the NP trails is available. Plan on dinner out. Local options even off season.Bottom line, very pleased with our experience, and would highly recommend Denali Hideaway
