“The staff were really good with an exceptional personal touch. They knew me by name, not room number. My husband was unwell on the first night and I had dinner on my own, the next day they put themselves out to ask after my husband and that ment a lot. Lovely hotel seeped in history and the choice of decore certainly doesn’t let the property down. The museums were closed due to refurnisment so gives us a very good reason to return. Lovely”

“Nice location, clean room and a wonderful breakfast served by a lovely lady who was very welcoming and created a good experience. The type of property and location was perfect for me as I prefer to stay away from big hotels, and it certainly lived up to my expectation. I stayed on a Monday night and when I returned at 9pm from a local event the bar and restaurant were closed and no staff around. It would be good to know about that in advance, so best to check before arrival if that is important……

“Very friendly staff all round .The hotel needs a bit updating stairs to room ,we stayed in Apple blossom room which was spacious with a large bathroom .Mini fridge in room with fresh milk nice touch .The room was comfortable in the heatwave ,with a fan included . Felt the detail of cleaning could of been better ( big cobweb under window and handbasin cracked and behind the taps could of done with a clean ) The setting and surroundings really make this hotel a good find .Breakfast served by……
