"Holliday Inn Express Birmingham Excellent hotel and checked by a very nice polite lady at 13:40 The room was spotlessly clean and I was very impressed. TV was a 43 inch Samsung with an excellent quality picture. Didnāt have many channels. The WiFi worked well and was free. Next to the bed you have 2 USB and 2 electric 3 pin power sockets. There are also lots of other power sockets in the room. The bathroom like the bedroom was very clean, with good lighting. Shampoo is Dove brand. Only issue was the handle inside shower door was broken so itās difficult to shut the shower door. Air conditioning was good but the coolest setting is 21c and I would have preferred it to go down to 18c but the room temperature was comfortable as the air conditioning is good and works well. All mobile phone networks work well in the hotel. The breakfast is ok but very basic and no fried eggs. The bed was very comfortable. The area is nice and safe and close to the shops. I also appreciated the late check out. I would highly recommend this hotel and its excellent value for money."

"Another excellent stay in a family room. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the great breakfast selection. The hotel is in a great location - within easy reach of the Mailbox and Bullring."

"Our suite with city view was great and air-conditioning worked well. Hotel clean and left us a bottle of fizz, chocolate and a card for our anniversary which was very sweet. Only complaint was breakfast. Tbh it was poor, sausage and bacon hard and everything cold including the coffee. Disappointed as wasn't cheap. Save paying for brekkie and go to whetherdpoons lol! Other than that was great with very accommodating staff."
