The location was perfect for getting into town. We were happy it wasn't on top of one of the very steep mountain sides!!! It felt very homey the way it was decorated. We loved using the record player and listening to a variety of albums. It was nice also that we were able to bring our dogs with us. Once again FANTASTIC location and very private.

An adorable cottage that is private. Deer visits are so special and it’s in walking distance to the quaint downtown. I couldn’t have been more relaxed in this charming cottage. The owners are great and respect your privacy .

Fantastic bungalow in a great location!

Even better than expected

The home had everything you could need. The property manager was very responsive. 11am check-out was nice surprise. Beds very comfortable. Firepit and grill were great. Just a great little town nearby, while still feeling like you're in a very remote area.

This is our 4th stay at this rental and as always, it is just what we need. Close to everything but peaceful and quiet. It also has everything you need to prep for meals, make coffee and sit out under the trees and listen to nature. It is clean and perfect for our weekend stays. Will rent again for our next trip to Clayton.

Nice area, very peaceful

Not much of a yard,mainly leaves and vines. Tv in main room would never work by directions, bedroom tv work good, washer was very noisy.house was very clean and furnished well. The screened front porch was amazing, very relaxing. Thanks for the stay.

Retreat in the city

What a great spot! The house is in a somewhat community setting, but set off the road in the woods, so feels very secluded. We were easily within walking distance to mainstreet. A great way to have a quiet place to relax and sleep with access to the city of Clayton, and all the near by parks and national forest areas. The space itself was comfortable for 2 people and 2 smaller pups. I look forward to coming back again!

Private and quaint Oasis

I had the pleasure of staying here for a few months while my home was being renovated right down the street. It was perfection!! It’s an adorable cottage that is nestled in the woods with visits from deer that of course bring peace. It was great to open the door and bring the fresh air in from the screened porch. Even the rock driveway running through the trees had the most beautiful soft green moss . It’s was fabulous!! The host is exceptional and very kind.

Thanksgiving Family Getaway

This home was great for our family of 4. We were very close to Clayton and other areas. We went to visit my mother who lives in Mountain City. My siblings all brought their families to visit as well, so we needed somewhere close, to not have to drive too far to visit, but that was also accommodating for a family with small kids(age 1 and 6). It had everything we needed. If for any reason you need to buy any groceries or need to shop for anything there are options near by. The owner answers any questions you have very fast and is very helpful. Its a nice home away from home. If we ever need a place to stay when visiting Georgia, this is a place I would definitely stay again.

Nice Place

Stayed for 3 weeks to get away from heat in Florida. Secluded area yet with neighbors around. Quiet. Friendly neighbors. Met several. We cooked a lot at the house because we eat plant based. Would have liked a little more in way of kitchen utensils but did fine with what was there. There were 3 restaurants in the historic downtown area that had a vegan dish and they were all good - Fortify Pi, Universal Joint, and Hush. Many areas to hike and falls are everywhere it seems. There is a very active indoor pickleball club there. People play everyday of the week and it is free. The group is very welcoming to visitors. We had a very nice time.

Great Location!

We enjoyed our stay, until the day before departure. A man knocked loudly on the front door. It scared us because we were not expecting anyone. He was w/ the management property and wanted to do yard work. We unfortunately agreed, and got to hear a leaf blower for the rest of the afternoon. We would of given a 5 star review if that had not occurred. W/ that said, we want to end on a positive note. The bed was ahhhhhmazing! So comfortable, especially after our long hikes. We enjoyed playing games and listening to the record player. The kitchen was adequate w/ regards to appliances. It was also well stocked. We were able to prepare most of our meals. The cabin is secluded, BUT w/ i walking distance to the town. Again, great location. We also really loved the decor of the cabin. We believe most people will enjoy their stay! We hope this review helps everyone!

The location and house was great. Short walk or drive to town and close to hikes. Unfortunately we could not get WiFi during our entire stay and with little to no cell service that was a bummer and also stressful since we were away from our kids. Host was responsive on that but there was no fix. There was also a pile of linens left on top of the bed and a used towel still in the bathroom from a prior guest.

We have stayed at this property before. Love that is close to downtown Clayton, even though you feel like you are secluded in the woods. The kitchen is well equipped, even though we never cook! The only issue we had this time, was that the wi-fi went offline several times. We would definitely stay there again.
