Cabin on the River - In town on the Chattahoochee River

This split level holiday home is perfect for families with plans to spend most of their time in the river or at the water park. Located behind the Cool River Tubing Water Park and within walking distance to downtown Helen! The light fills this home through the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Chattahoochee River. Sit on the back deck and listen to the water flow by. Cook up a dinner on the gas grill, we provide the propane!

Cuddle up on the leather furniture and enjoy the flat screen television in the living room with free WiFi connection. The television is streaming where you can find free channels to watch or sign into your own accounts. (Just don't forget to sign out when you check-out!) The kitchen and living room are open to each other, leaving plenty of room for entertaining while cooking and making snacks during movie night! Turn up the gas logs for a cozy evening with the warmth and glow of a fire.

On the main floor is the Stars and Stripes Queen bedroom, decorated and representing all that is the american flag. This room has it's very own streaming television. The Stars and Stripes bath is just across the hall with a walk-in shower. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a queen size bed, retro vanity and full length mirror. This bedroom also has its very own streaming television, too. The master bath has a jetted garden tub, ready to soothe away your troubles.

• Minimum Age Requirement: Cabin on the River is available to families or to guests 21 years and older.
• Parking: Space is available for 4 vehicles.
• Access: The roads and driveway are paved. The property is on stilts and there are 20+ steps from the parking area up to the front door.

Great place!

My daughters and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved it! The cabin is beautiful and the location is great, both quiet and close to everything. If you’re a book lover, I highly recommend visiting Mt. Yonah book exchange. The owner is amazing. We also enjoyed the safari drive through.

Spring Break Get-Away

My husband and I are teachers, and we just needed to relax. The cabin is cozy and right on the river. It is very close to town, and we even walked one time to get some exercise. I highly recommend staying here.

Great location and river access

Gorgeous house in a good location, close to the town and to beautiful trails. I love that the river runs just a few yards away from the property. We will definitely comeback and recommend it to anybody.

Amazing family getaway

We are so much in love with this place! The location is just perfect, away from traffic and people but close enough to all the places to see. The river running in the back sounds relaxing and calming. The property management is responsive and willing to help. And the best part(especially traveling with a toddler) is the cleanliness of the house. We enjoyed every second spent in this beautiful home. Would definitely recommend and come stay again.

Girl Trip

My mom, daughter and I were planning our annual girl trip when mom suggested Helen. I immediately went to google to check it out and decided we had to visit. None of us had been. We all were so impressed with the little town. Everyone was so kind and friendly, the food…amazing but all of ours favorite thing to do was sit in our cabin drinking coffee, chatting and listening to the river. I was able to check in early but had an issue with the lock, after a short diagnosis over the phone they sent someone out who arrived within minutes! Got us into the cabin and fixed the lock before we got our stuff set down. The location is great, parking is covered which is super nice. Big bath upstairs and a shower downstairs, two large bedrooms and a lovely deck on the back. The living room and kitchen are specious with a lovely view out the large windows facing the river. Housekeeping did a great job, it was spotless. Lots of extra blankets too which was a great touch! Overall a fantastic stay, always great renting though y’all!

As a family in the middle of moving, it was a welcomed respite to the mountains and the cabin provided the perfect place. The cabin was well stocked, temperature control was ideal, and the beds were comfortable. The quiet neighborhood made us feel like we were secluded from town and the close proximity made daily activities accessible. We would definitely consider returning if we visit Helen again.

Cabin is adorable! Cozy and close to everything. Could use new mattresses tho, they’re not very comfortable. You can even see intentions after removing the sheets. Otherwise it was perfect!
