The room was clean. The property overall is very nice, just needs a refresh. Example: need USB ports for cell phones and electronics in the rooms. An elevator would be nice for us older folks. Restaurants were very good and convenient. Lovely property & scenery.

The staff were very helpful. Always had recommendations for dining and such. The property is massive and there are things to do. They have a shuttle for other activities off site and to Helen( start at 10 am). Rooms were spacious and well equipped. The only complaint I have is how thin the walls are and whenever people were opening and closing doors, talking inside or outside of their rooms, it felt like they were inside our room.

My mom and I really enjoyed our stay. Rooms and buildings are renovated, the area and surroundings are very peaceful, lots of activities to do & staff is very friendly, except for Chris at the front desk who does not seem to want to be there. Just a 5 minute drive to downtown Helen. Loved the oldies music being played at breakfast!

We enjoyed the stay in a king room, big property and lots of walking, although that makes the property good because it’s wide open, would definitely stay again, if you want to stay out of the busy area in Helen and be only a few mins away this is great!

We will be back ! We loved the lodge. However, There was a roach over an inch long in the shower our 1st night there. We laughed as we gave it a swimming farewell! And 2nd, the heat/ac was rattling quite loud , but we were so tired we slept through it! It would make watching the tv a bit hard! It was nice to have the bar and restaurants available on the property. Made it pretty handy. The king bed was comfortable as were the pillows. It was located centrally for us to visit Cleveland, Helen, and other places!

I stayed at Unicoi State Park Lodge for one night while attending Oktoberfest in Helen, and it was a wonderful experience overall.  Upon arrival, the front desk staff was so helpful and thorough in explaining the property layout and check-in details. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful scenic view. The standout feature for us was the lodge’s shuttle service straight into downtown Helen, it made attending Oktoberfest stress-free without having to worry about parking or navigating back. Tip for future guests: Your stay actually includes a pass to the state park! We ended up visiting and paying for entry to the state park before checking into the lodge, so keep that in mind if you plan to explore the park, check in or ask for your pass first to save a few dollars. We didn't have time to explore the other lodge amenities since we spent most of our trip downtown, but we would definitely stay here again!
