“The location was perfect, staff friendly helpful and kind warning about the football. We were a little worried but was actually ok, only a little noise when England scored which we cant complain at. Loved our stay, cute locatipn and our evening meal was exactly what we needed.”
“A lovely hotel, great food and a fantastic breakfast. A full English that left us feeling full!
The Daily Menu mentioned "Crispy Doreen's Black Pudding" on the Grazing Meat Board. We didn't find out who Crispy Doreen is, but her Black Pudding was great!
The steaks are pricey, but the rest of the menu seems reasonably priced, and the food quality was excellent.
The "Wagyu" room was a good size, and well decorated with a nice deer theme. Nice overhead type shower, easy to adjust, and once……

“Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too!
