「The room was very clean, the people were nice, and the bed was great. This place is old, and the owners are working hard to get it turned around, I appreciated their efforts. It appears that they also use their place to help the less fortunate. It was kind of noisy…no sound proofing. The breakfast was uninteresting but adequate.」

「Free breakfast but suboptimal. Orange juice was diluted, coffee was not good. There was no cups in the room, and no lotion. Cable was good though」

「This is an amazing property and unique experience. It is “off the grid” in a sense, but had everything we needed and was clean. Friendly staff and very cool antique decor. Definitely recommend!」

「It was convenient having a garage for our car and luckily our car is small, because it barely fit. Nonetheless, a great feature. The place was clean, quaint, and adequate for the two of us. It was decorated to feel very homey. I recommend this as an option to stay if you are in the Harrisburg, Shawnee National Forest area.」

「It is a very peaceful environment. Walking the property offers opportunities for quiet reflection , as does simply sitting on the porch overlooking the river.」

「The unit was more than I expected. The cabin was furnished with comfortable seating indoors, a full kitchen, TV, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with a hot shower, and more. I will definitely be booking this place again for another getaway.」

「Great location for exploring Shawnee National Forest! Property was clean and quiet. They are in the process of updating the rooms on the property.」

「Pros: quiet little cabin, tucked just inside from a street. Clean & cozy. Cons 1. Mattress: It was too soft & saggy in the middle. Another reviewer mentioned this too. I wasn't able to get a restful night's sleep. Either my knees or neck would be sore in the mornings 2. Not enough brightness / lights: The interior feels dark - with an okay ceiling light, where 1-2 if the bulbs would slowly go dim as tine went on. Kitchen light was brigther.」

「Great place off the beaten path」

「Very peaceful and relaxing area, loved sitting on porch watching the barges go by.」

「Absolutely beautiful place inside and out. Had everything u could ever need at a place」

「Cozy and clean home that had all of the little things we needed! Easy access to all of the cool hiking spots in the area!」

「👍」

「Very friendly and nice people. They brought tomatoes and corn out of their garden for us and checked in on how we were doing and had lots of supplies in the fridge and on the table. Would recommend staying there anytime」

「What beautiful little house. Excellent touches. House had everything we needed. Firewood for firepit was great!! The ladder to the loft is a little steep..BUT VERY Sturdy, with handles on each side. I would love to stay here again. Host was very responsive.」

「Nice place 」

「We decided to book this place because it was close to Garden of The Gods, and it was available at a great price. The view of the Ohio River was amazing. The host was friendly, and the room was clean. The only issue we had was the doorknob to the bathroom would stick, making it a little difficult to get out of the bathroom.」

「CUTE LITTLE TOWN」
