Return visit

June 2015 review ended by saying I hope we will return. September 2017 and we did return. It was so good to be greeted so warmly by the same friendly staff.We were lucky and had one of the best rooms and the view from the balcony certainly was Bella Vista.The weather for our first week was exceptionally hot so our walk up the hill from sea level certainly tested our fitness levels but we have returned home feeling very fit and healthy. The restaurants in the area are all excellent and good value for money.Will we return? Yes booked for next year already.Thankyou Maria,Raleigh,Alexandra and Fatina for a lovely holiday.See you next year. Mary.Northants

Nice Hotel . Family Flair, Great View and Pool

Hotel Bella Vista is a really nice hotel for everyone who is looking for a nice and quiet stay on crete. The beach is close and the full stuff ist very friendly and nice. We love that place and will come back for sure.

Nice appartment, kind people, the staff is so helpfull and kind, fun pool, beautiful area, beautiful sheets on my bed, I liked my room, But i did not like the breakfast, not so many to choose from.

Ideel for børnefamilier

Perfekt sted til børnefamilier, der er roligt og maden er meget børnevenligt. På Bella Vista hjælp de os med leje af bil og vi kunne aflevere bilen ved lufthavnen ved hjemrejse. De er i det hele taget meget flinke og hjælpsomme iforhold til udflugter og forslag til aktiviteter. God lille legeplads for de små. Wifi var lidt langsom.

Relaxing, stay with breathtaking views.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The apartment was very clean and well equipped for a self catering stay. The staff are very friendly and make your holiday extra special with their enthusiasm to make your holiday what you want it to be. Maria ( the owner) cooks the best food in stalis. Alexandra and rali made us laugh and made some unique cocktails!!!! The views are spectacular, the apartments are built into he mountains which surround you. The hill to the apartments are a challenge and will not suit everyone, but you can drive, quad bike or get a taxi up if the walk is too much. Looking forward to going back next year.

il residence si trova su di una collina e si sviluppa a gradoni , per raggiungere gli appartamenti occorre fare una scalinata impegnativa che non mi sembra fosse evidenziata da nessuna parte. a noi è toccato un appartamentino soffocante, piccolo piccolo, ma la cosa più scomoda era che non potevamo aprire le finestre perché la finestra si affacciava sulla scala da cui passavano tutte le persone, quindi scuri chiusi e caldo soffocante che potevamo combattere solo con l'aria condizionata ma a pagamento...l'uso cucina è un eufemismo, in quanto praticamente si possono mangiare solo cibi freddi, mancano le pentole e cè solo una piastra elettrica. inoltre non ci sono spazi per poter stendere, non dico tanto ma almeno i costumi ... salvo solo le pulizie, fatte con criterio , e la splendida vista panoramica.

Schönes ruhiges Hotel

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht ist super und man ist etwas ab vom Schuss, sodass es schön ruhig ist. Bei der Zimmerbuchung muss man aufpassen, was es genau für eine Kategorie ist. Wer bei einem Studio eines der Zimmer mit großer Terrasse von den Fotos erwartet, wird enttäuscht. Vorsicht bei der Adresse: Gibt man die Adresse von der Webseite bei Google Maps ein, wird einem ein Hotel mit ähnlichem Namen in Malia angezeigt. Die Anlage befindet sich jedoch im Nachbarort Stalis, etwas weiter westlich.

Bella Vista Stallis

This has to be the best self catering apartment we have used .We have used as many as 25 over a number of years visiting the Greek Islands. From the moment of arrival we were warmly greeted by Rayleigh who despite being busy in the bar and preparing meals carried our case up the numerous steps to our room. We did have great difficulty finding the Bella Visit as the address from Expedia did not mention Stallis so the Sat Nav. was of no use, we did pay a taxi driver to lead us there but be aware there are 3 Bella Vista s in the area. When looking at the view from the balcony it is easy to see why this property is called Bella Vista. It is important to note the description that the informs you that this would not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty in walking or climbing. We had hired a jeep and the area has plenty of good beaches, interesting towns and mountainous terrain to visit. A short walk downhill takes you into Stallis , a town that has plenty of good eating places a more crowded beach as well as water sports for the more active.Remember though that it is a steep walk back up to the hotel. The swimming pool is lovely The Saturday night bar b q excellent value and Maria and her 4 members of staff all went out of their way to be friendly. We met other families on return visits and hopefully we will be returning now we know how to get there.

Super nettes Hotel

Wir waren zu zweit als Paar im Bella Vista und es hat uns super gut gefallen! Das Zimmer war echt sauber und alles in einem gutem Zustand. Auch der Pool hat uns gut gefallen. Man muss zwar einen Berg hoch laufen, um zu dem Hotel zu gelangen, aber dafür hat man eine super Aussicht über die ganze Stadt und das Meer, für die sich der Weg lohnt. Am besten hat uns die Freundlichkeit des Personals gefallen. Uns wurde bei jeder Gelegenheit geholfen, zum Beispiel einen passenden Mietwagen zu bekommen, und die Angestellten haben sich sehr bemüht, damit es uns gut ging. Wir wurden sogar am letzten Tag von ihnen mit dem Gepäck zum Bus zum Flughafen gefahren. Ein Besuch im Hotel lohnt sich auch Mitte Oktober noch, das Wetter war super. Insgesamt kann man das Hotel einfach nur weiter empfehlen!

Basic hotel

The staff are very friendly and food we had there was fine. This hotel might be best suited to younger people who can sleep on anything as the beds are hard and the rooms are very basic, you get 2 electric oven rings which are portable and a microwave as only cooking devices. no tee towels or washing up liquid are supplied and all crockery is oddments. The pool had algee starting and needed cleaning. From about 5am the local cockeral starts crowing which sets off all the dogs so unless you are heavy sleeper you will get woken up. There is lots of steps as on side of hill and is 15 mins walk to sea. I would not go back there.

We were moved to another hotel due to overbooking

When we arrived the people who run the hotel were very nervous. After about a ten minutes wait they said they were overbooked and they will take us to another hotel. They blamed Expedia and said that the website lets people book room even when there are no rooms available. They rushed us, and pressured and were not nice to us at all! We moved to the other hotel which was nice, we had two kids so really didn't feel like going into a big fight and ruin our vacation.

Maleducazione prepotenza e presunzione

Coppie giovani?Allora vi freghiamo! Prenotato per 7 notti, arriviamo e il barman(nemmeno il proprietario) ci manda in un'altro hotel(uno squallido 2 stelle sudicio vecchio e logoro)...torniamo dopo 2 giorni per avere finalmente una camera e il titolare sbraita contro di noi dicendo che li non possiamo stare, non cè posto! Noi offesi e affranti accettiamo dopo 2 ore di discussione una sistemazione che secondo lui era di lusso, e cosi' finiamo in una topaia..forse il peggior studios di tutta Stalis...dopo 3 notti infernali facciamo ritorno al Bella Vista e il proprietario finge di scusarci offrendoci una cena vomitevole...dissenteria per 3 giorni a 4 persone su 4...che dire? Girando abbiamo visto residence e hotel decisamente piu' belli,accoglienti e con prezzi piu' onesti! Durante gli unici 2 giorni di soggiorno veniamo insultati costantemente dal proprietario e dalla moglie. State alla larga! In piu' come posizione è anche scomodo! Ed è anche una zona di spiaggie per nulla belle!

Very friendly atmosphere, a perfect place to relax

It was great, however be aware to book it with Expedia. The hotel was already overbooked but Expedia ignores this information by the owners and still offers rooms. This leads to the owners having to sort out another hotel for a certain amount of time when they're overbooked. But they are friendly, the hotel is nice and the rooms are big, it is a 10 min way from the beach (steep hill). Perfect for families who want to spend time in the pool and a great atmospheric environment
