This is a family owned business with a mother and daughter running the reception and I believe her son running the bar. Everyone is so nice, friendly and welcoming. Made a last minute booking to this hotel after having a really bad experience in another one close by and this hotel saved my holiday! I wish I came here from the start. The rooms are spacious with really comfy beds, soaps and fresh towels and toilet rolls being provided. The pool is big and nice and there is a variety of sunbeds to lay on as well that are comfy. It was really easy to get in and out of the hotel and it was really conveniently places the clubs were across the road, next door was a supermarket and there was a variety of food places on your door step too so never had to go too far for anything and the beach was a very short walk away. I’m already planning to go back next year because of how good of an experience it was. You do have to pay for air con but it’s a lot cheaper than in other hotels and the bar is reasonably priced too. 100% recommend!

Decent studios and great location. Friendly family owned business. Downsides: We had to pay for the air con to be turned on which was ridiculous. They charge a nightly rate We payed for breakfast on the first day but it’s not worth it, much better off going outside and finding great places for the same price or cheaper. Otherwise not a bad little place.

Good hotel but terrible management

Air conditioning was not included despite the fact that it clearly states it is included in the room (7 euros/day to be paid extra). No shampoo and WiFi was very slow. The room was clean, new and the bed were comfortable but I don't think I'll ever come back here again with the current management: the first night, the owner started yelling at us and making a scene as if we were kids because she noticed we were about walk to my room with friends and 3 more people from the hotel - we just wanted to chill there since the bar and pool area were closed/off-limits. After trying to talk to her (seriously, I paid for the room and my friends did too), she kept yelling at us so we desisted and left the property. The following days the owner didn't even greet us in the morning. Extremely poor service and definitely not the excellent treatment you usually get in Greece and that we got in every other hotel during our stay.

Wonderful place held by wonderful people

We asked the property for a transfer from the airport so the driver came to pick us up with his new Mercedes van amazingly comfortable. When we arrived to Mirage the owner welcomed us with a Raki drink and later send us to our room. The room is really new and very clean, with a super comfortable bed, small kitchen -perfectly equipped for breakfast or lunch. Whatever we needed we were able to ask for and everybody was so helpful, in this 10 days we almost felt like a part of it, because everybody makes You feel so comfortable. There is a garden with a beautiful big pool which we enjoyed in the morning during coffee time. Never too crowded , You could really relax and enjoy it fully. The location is perfect, in the heart of Malia, a few steps from everything needed (shops, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, beach, rent a car)... Thanks again to all the staff, it was a pleasure to stay at Mirage Studios, and we would recommend it every time.
