"Lovely property, secluded but good shuttle options to ski field (less than 5 mins) and twice daily to Karuizawa.
Staff were friendly - used Google translate as there were not many western travellers.
Amazing Onsens - all gender seperate apart from private but open 24 hours.
Food was great - and a shop for snacks, souvenirs and drinks.
Great for winding down and experiencing the snow and small field close by."

"I was surprised why this hotel does not have cuurent reviews and then I found that the majority of customers are local. Only one Chinese staff, Kon, can communicate in English but every staff is very nice and attentive once you figure out the rules. Public onsen fa ility is standard and efficient. Spacious toom must be at least 300 sq.ft. for 2 of us.
Hot Water and temperature are centrally controlled. But if you are after hours you should go to public bath to take a shower. Laundry is inside...
