The Banks cottage is adorable close to town, but during my stay, there were a few snafu’s… the fireplace was lovely….

To Good to Bear

Most perfect I have ever rented Secluded but so near town. All lights, appliances, WiFi etc. working and easy to use. Everything you need and more. It even came with a visiting bear 🐻 . We'll be back.

Not exactly....

Cozy cottage with busy decoration & lots of clutter. Walking to town in 10 minutes is impossible; false description. There is no sidewalk within at least 1 mile of any downtown sidewalks. Hot water heater is moribund & may not last the summer. Beds are both terrible--deal-breakers! Thank goodness for the property mgrs, who acted quickly to put plywood board beneath & memory foam topper above those mattresses. We could not have lasted 2 weeks with those beds. The neighborhood is lovely & quiet, with little traffic, on a hill above the road to town; but don't even think about walking to town along that busy road! Highlands is a friendly, casual, & very pretty town with lots to do.
