Cozy cabin for the family!

This relaxing cabin is located near Hill City, South Dakota, and is at the center of everything the Black Hills has to offer!

Built in the mid 70's, this cabin shares the lower driveway with one other cabin (Cabin 5) and provides a great opportunity for families and groups that want to have an area to themselves when both are booked together. Although parking is limited, these two cabins together provide the best options for those who intend on bringing recreational vehicles or motorcycles with them to ride the trails or cruise the twisty roads.

Needles Highway, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, and Rapid City are all within a short 30 minute drive of your front door. The cabin is only two miles from Hill City, which has a grocery store, hardware store, many great restaurants and shops. Walmart and Target are only a 25 minute drive into Rapid City. Our 2.5 acre property consists of five cabins, and a six room motel. There is also a playground for the kids to release some energy.

This cabin can accommodate six guests in one bedroom with two queen-size beds and a nice queen pull-out sofa with a memory foam mattress in the living room. Off the short hallway is a bathroom with a shower/tub. Linens and towels are provided and fresh towels are available upon request. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, a microwave, toaster and a coffeemaker as well as utensils and dishes. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, Dish TV, and an air conditioner in the bedroom. Outside there is a picnic table, charcoal barbecue, fire pit, and refreshing views of the surrounding thick pine forest of the Black Hills. You will also see our free range chickens roaming the property. This cabin is closer to the playground than any other unit on the property.

These eco-friendly cabins feature limited housekeeping and pets are not allowed. Parking is limited so if you intend on bringing trailers or recreational vehicles, we encourage you to reach out to us to discuss parking options before you book. We do sell firewood for the fire pits and also fresh eggs from our flock of chickens. Surrounded by public lands, Mitchell Lake is a short walk away and offers a great view, kayaking and fishing opportunities. Wild raspberries and wildflowers can often be found near by as well.
