Wedding week

We stayed at property for week of our daughter’s wedding. It was a perfect location for the event at the hotel. It was adequate space for 6 adults and 3 dogs. Very nicely appointed. No iron found though. Only concern would be to remind people who bring their dogs is to be sure to pick up after them. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The house was amazing for our family of 4: it has the perfect layout, super clean, great bedrooms and bathrooms, an amazing deck on the golf course, and is close to so many activities. It’s fully stocked with everything you need. Exactly as described. Not only was the house great, Island Time is hands down the best rental company we’ve used on the island. They were incredibly helpful, always responsive, and just so kind and courteous. Thanks to Brenda and the whole team. We won’t use another company again. We can’t wait to come back!

A Delightful Month at 7 Ginger Beer

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I spent a month at 7 Ginger Beer with our 11 yr old golden doodle to escape the Chicago winter. The location on the 1st fairway of the George Fazio golf course was super. We easily walked to the beach and the General Store and a huge selection of restaurants were a short drive away (we especially enjoyed Jane Bistro in Shelter Cove). Unfortunately, although the house has a great layout, it is in need of some attention. The throw rugs in the entry foyer, dining room and primary bathroom are beyond dirty and need to be replaced. The window treatment is tired and in general the house needs a refresh.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at 7 Ginger Beer for 3 weeks and had a great time. We were a little bit nervous when we booked the house because it does not have a traditional beachy decor. However, we were very pleased with the layout and updated condition of the house. The bedrooms are all a good size and each of the bathrooms is modern and updated. Small touches like laundry baskets in every room were very helpful. The back deck has a beautiful view and the owners invested in high-end outdoor furniture that make the time outside very nice. It does get hot on the deck in the early afternoon through the evening, but we loved having coffee outside in the morning and having evening happy hour out there. The pool is small, probably closer in size to a plunge pool but we still really enjoyed it for cooling off and the adirondack chairs make it nice too. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with every kitchen tool you could imagine. It took us a few days to find the closest beach entry, but once we did, it was an easy 5-7 mile walk to the beach. One suggestion is to leave instructions on how to access nearest beach entry. The area of Palmetto Dunes where this house is located is quiet and beautiful. The house is on a quiet cul de sac, which is ideal for families with small kids. The property management company staff were friendly and responsive each time we called. I really appreciated the starter kits that they provided for kitchen, laundry and bath. The only negative for me was how the property management company manages VayK Gear. When you book the house, you get an email telling you that you have a "credit" for chairs and bikes etc. through VayK Gear. It was only upon arrival that I noticed an almost $700 charge for VayK Gear on my invoice (note I was staying for 3 weeks). I called the management company and they said it was non-refundable and that they charge that fee regardless of whether you rent gear from VayK. I think they should be more clear about that when booking.

Clean, updated, modern house, in a great location. The new pool is nice. Close to community center, and near the entrance to minimize drive, but tucked away in a quiet culdesac. Loved the simple, modern flooring. When outside, beware of incoming golf balls on the 1st fairway :-)

The kitchen had everything you may need... it even had things we didn’t know we needed. The beds were as comfortable as you are going to find in a rental property. The pool is on the smaller side, but it’s perfect for what wanted. And, the views of the gold course was beautiful. We didn’t bring our dogs, but we certainly will next time!

The pool, while on the smaller size, was perfect for our family and especially the kids. The area of Palmetto Dunes where this house is located is quiet and beautiful. The house is on a quiet cul de sac, which is ideal for families with small kids. It was a reasonable walk to the beach and General Store. We had an amazing week with 9 of our family making wonderful memories!! Most definitely recommend this property. Island Time is wonderful. They were incredibly helpful, always responsive, and just so kind and courteous. The check in and check out process was a breeze!

The house was spacious and well stocked with linens and kitchen items. Could use extra chairs in living room when you have 6 people. Because we rented late in the season, the house needed a good detailed cleaning and maintenance. Mold on the living room ceiling as it is apparent there was a roof leak. Also laundry room had mold on ceiling. The kitchen needs a deep clean, drawers full of dirt and crumbs and very disorganized. Overall the house was spacious and more than adequate for 6 people.
