We stayed at 7 Ginger Beer for 3 weeks and had a great time. We were a little bit nervous when we booked the house because it does not have a traditional beachy decor. However, we were very pleased with the layout and updated condition of the house. The bedrooms are all a good size and each of the bathrooms is modern and updated. Small touches like laundry baskets in every room were very helpful. The back deck has a beautiful view and the owners invested in high-end outdoor furniture that make the time outside very nice. It does get hot on the deck in the early afternoon through the evening, but we loved having coffee outside in the morning and having evening happy hour out there. The pool is small, probably closer in size to a plunge pool but we still really enjoyed it for cooling off and the adirondack chairs make it nice too. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with every kitchen tool you could imagine. It took us a few days to find the closest beach entry, but once we did, it was an easy 5-7 mile walk to the beach. One suggestion is to leave instructions on how to access nearest beach entry. The area of Palmetto Dunes where this house is located is quiet and beautiful. The house is on a quiet cul de sac, which is ideal for families with small kids. The property management company staff were friendly and responsive each time we called. I really appreciated the starter kits that they provided for kitchen, laundry and bath. The only negative for me was how the property management company manages VayK Gear. When you book the house, you get an email telling you that you have a "credit" for chairs and bikes etc. through VayK Gear. It was only upon arrival that I noticed an almost $700 charge for VayK Gear on my invoice (note I was staying for 3 weeks). I called the management company and they said it was non-refundable and that they charge that fee regardless of whether you rent gear from VayK. I think they should be more clear about that when booking.
