「The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. 「Expectations exceeded reality. Initially the astetics of arriving at the pub/hotel looked promising and the ambiance of the bar area pleasent with polite reception staff.The room (4) was at first site ok, but a more detailed look revealed a more dirty aspect and not as expected. The windows slatted blind very dusty, corner of the bathroom by the door, grime. 「Lovely place to stay and very polite and helpful」

「I was not really happy with the room I was given. I booked a normal room, but received a room for an impaired person. I was put in room 1. The shower was a wet floor shower, which was not too bad, but the bed was terrible. The mattress had collapsed and I ended up sleeping ( actually I didn't sleep) in a dip, ended up with body aches.」

「The staff are great at this hotel. Rooms are large, water is hot and fast, lots of parking, and the location is fab for the town, river and park.」

「The Andel Lodge was a gem of a find! My sister and I stayed there on Tuesday 19th May and we were so impressed with everything! The decor was lovely, everywhere was spotlessly clean and our twin room was so cute! The staff were great, especially Theresa who really looked after us well, along with our aunt, uncle and cousin who were also staying there as we had a family funeral to go to. 「The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. 」
