“This was my second time staying at Raptor Retreat and it was just as good as the first. Our lodging, the Hippo Cottage, was huge, very well equipped and had a wonderful view of the river and the animals. One morning, we saw a parade of elephants right by our window. I also loved the soaking bathtub that also had a great view. We did three amazing game drives with Keith, the owner of Raptor Retreat on which we saw an incredible variety of animals including a huge herd of elephants, hippos and……

“Only stayed one night coming back from our stay in Kruger but as soon as we got there we realised we should have booked for two. There are loads of things to do in the area that we were interested in and on site there were walks we could have taken surrounded by nature. The location is beautiful and even just outside the bedroom you see deer and a warthog or two. Marlon was a great host and very knowledgeable and the room was luxurious as was the bathroom that also had a choice of inside and……

“This has been one of our most memorable stays anywhere in the world. We knew our first safari would be amazing but Xanatseni exceeded all of our expectations. Aside from the 4-star amenities and hospitality that rival that of hotels in big cities, the staff was the best part of the experience. Our rangers Bill and Mel were extremely knowledgable and passionate about sharing their love for all living things in the bush. Ross was there whenever we needed anything and shared many entertaining……

“Sehr exklusiv, da es nur wenige Zelte gibt. Sehr persönlicher Empfang, schöne Safaris im offenen Jeep mit guten Guides. Direkt am Fluss gelegen, wir konnten vom Pool ein Krokodil beobachten. Trotzdem sehr sicher. Liegt in einem eigenen privaten und abgesicherten Reservat.”

“The place is good cause we needed privacy and away from town, but the place was not clean. In the bathroom the arr spider webs and ant hills under basin. We stayed for 2 days and the linen was not changed, the was dust on the study table and the pedestals. When you drain water from the tub or flash the is a awful smell dont know from where. But the receptionist Melody, she was the best 10/10.”
