“The floors were really dirty. My shoes were sticking to the floor in the kitchen and the carpet smells terrible (when I sat on the floor with my little dog). The grassy spots for your pet is scarce. We did like having a kitchen & laundry ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Iris. We stayed in a superior suite which was bright and light and with all that we needed for four nights. It turned out we were in a great area with lots of delicious dining options and a short walk from King Street which is the Main Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere. We would totally recommend and would come back if we visit Charleston again. ”

“We enjoyed our three night stay! The balcony is huge and a lovely place to relax. Property was as described! Lolo’s (almost exactly across the street) has amazing food. We are in our 50’s and had no problem with the four flights of stairs, however we are active and don’t mind the exercise.”

“This was a very comfortable house. Unsure why it has anything less than 5 star reviews. It was convenient to everything. In fact, I wish we could have stayed longer. If there was a larger group there, there may be an issue because there is only one bathroom, but for the price, you cannot beat this. Its basically across the street from food and grocery stores. Convenient to Charleston, Folly Beach, and anything you need. It is a duplex. Just be aware because people get confused for some reason.……

“Clean, spacious, walking distance to great restaurants. As described, near highway so outdoor space is not pleasant for sitting but the highway noise was not noticeable indoors. Comfortable mattress!!!!!! Had to buy a corkscrew!!! Should be number one amenity!!! I would suggest getting confirmation on amenities-seemed like they hadn’t updated list (e.g. also no Keurig was on site).”

“This was our first time in Folly beach & we loved it! The apartment was small but had everything we needed. The AC was cold, the bed was comfortable, & the location was fabulous! Only 2 blocks to the beach & to Center Street! We loved the laid back vibe & will definitely be back! The only negative was the upstairs neighbor was up at 5 am every morning & we could hear them moving around. Other than that, we loved our stay!”

“We were incredibly impressed with how spacious the place is. The pictures don't give you a true feel for how big the rooms are. The main living area and kitchen are well done and have everything you need. The girls loved the massive master closet and the spacious master bathroom. The balcony was the perfect spot to watch a thunderstorm roll through in the morning. The location was almost perfect, with the beach just 25 minutes, downtown Charleston just 15 minutes, and shopping & restaurants less……

“Property was very clean and comfortable. We had an extremely difficult year so we wanted peace and quiet and that's exactly what we got. Would highly recommend staying here if you need to relax and decompress. The ocean was too cold for swimming. It would have been over the top with access to a heated pool but still a wonderful place to stay.”

“Really enjoyed this property. It was clean and seems to have had some updates since the photos were posted on the site. For our quick trip, this was a perfect place to rest in the evenings. Loved the balcony on the lake. Few Cons… dresser seemed to be broken and the glass stove top had a pretty major crack in it, so I was scared to use that. Overall we really did enjoy this property and we plan on saving this one for future trips to the area. Also the owner was very kind.”

“We loved staying on the marsh and watching the tide come in. The sunrise in the morning over the water was breathtaking. The apartment was perfect for our needs and we appreciated the suggestions for entertainment and restaurants in the area. Folly beach was so easy to access and very close by. We would come back for sure !”

“I enjoyed being at the harbor and CB using the water taxi to visit areas of Charleston. While I enjoyed my meals at the Fish House, I wished there was a dining option at the hotel for breakfast or brunch! It is a beautiful area of Charleston and everyone was pleasant and very helpful. ”
