“Food was lovely. Staff were very happy and kind and helpful. The room, i had a coyrtyard room, was beautiful, clean and spacious. This was one of the best places i have stayed. ”

“A very nice and clean place to stay for a night or two. We stayed in a standard double room for 1 x night and was comfortable and clean room. Ate in the bar restaurant and food was really tasty and staff friendly. ”

“Radiator not working so room was cold, tap on bath rattling and water spurting out took ages to fill bath. Shared room with a dozen ladybirds..canteen downstairs never open. Unlocked and unsafe left luggage hall.i came fownstairs a few times about radiator in the night and noonf on reception rang number on desk but it wasnt regonised. Reception not manned at all times.. the room was big and lovely and location good.”

“A charity runs this guest house, and we loved that it was also a Memorial Holiday Centre and a great tribute to all who fought in the two great wars and subsequent conflicts, encompassing all service personnel. The Guest House is a grand old property, and further upgrades are in the pipeline after this holiday season to expand the property. We really enjoyed our short stay, and the views from the property are spectacular. Well worth booking.”

“Property was well situated for walking and Southwald. The room was a good size and the information to access the property was very good. Parking was also good. Unfortunately the weather was cold and wet, so bathroom heating would have been appreciated. The plumbing was noisy ie air in the system, which woke us up during the night.”
