This hotel is very well situated, the parking is a bonus and the views from the restaurant are stunning. The food was well cooked and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the age of the building and the reason why there was no lift but we struggled somewhat to lug two suitcases up to the top floor as our room was in the converted attic. The view from the room was great and the room itself was spacious, it could have benefited from a fridge and some of the roller blinds were broken which caused issue with opening and closing them. The room was noisy at night as the people next door were up a lot using the bathroom, every time they turned on the light the extractor fan would start up and we could hear it quite loudly in our room. Other than that all was fine. If you are staying in Beccles we would recommend the Waveney, great location and on the whole good.

The hotel room we booked was a superior double although there was nothing great about it we could have staying at a Premier Inn tbh. Bathroom was lovely though and bed was comfy Breakfast was OK as was evening meal although once again nothing special. Obviously the setting by the river was glorious

This hotel is in a lovely location by the start of the Norfolk Broads. The patio area looks out on the river. We had dinner on the first night. My rump steak was too soft for me in texture & felt poor quality. The bar man was ignorant to the type of cider they were serving (dry or sweet ) & showed disinterest, just saying it was ‘wet’, which disappointed us. If you need somewhere close to the town centre then this is fine. The town was pleasant & had a lovely church to look round.

Amazing place

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Stayed three years ago and booked a return visit as it was so good the first time. It didn’t disappoint, will definitely stay again.

Nice and easy check in. Parking spacious. Hotel is in a nice setting walkable to Town and lovely river view. Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. My only fault would be the bath/shower. You could not stand up to shower the ceiling is too low (there is a sign stating do not stand in the bath) Fine for 1 night, difficult to shower I would not stay in this room again personally

First of all the position of the hotel with the dining room and terrace right on the river was gorgeous. Handsome hotel, good food, nice people in a lovely area, we had a perfect break and would recommend to anyone.
