Halcyon exceeded every expectation. Rooms are quiet and cozy, spotless, with really nice extra touches throughout. The bed was amazing... I slept so well! Views are spectacular. And the hosts are just a wonderful wonderful couple.

We chose a bed and breakfast for a change and it was a good choice. During a heavy tourist season, staying in a neighborhood setting worked well for us. The host was very accommodating, the views were fantastic and our room was roomy and comfortable.

My friend and I were very excited to be visiting Alaska for the first time. We were also excited to be staying at the Halcyon bed-and-breakfast as the photos looked very nice. Upon arrival, we entered the owners upstairs living room, only to find it in complete disarray, very messy and not very clean. That immediately made us wonder if we should actually be eating breakfast in this home. The hosts were very nice, but our concern was the property and its poor condition. Our room and not very clean. Our room was dirty, hair on the bathroom floor from previous guests. The refrigerator still had the previous guest food inside as well as an article of their clothing in the closet. The unit was not clean. There were towels from tacked to the windows for curtains, there was scotch tape holding up part of the trim of the wall, both TVs were not in working order. The Jacuzzi was not in working order.

This B&B was super nice and the hosts were excellent> Delicious breakfast was served to our room every morning. Both were great at explaining all the activities around the Homer area. Very quiet and nice views of the mountains. We are not much fans of B&B's but I can say if all were like this one we can easily become fans.

Exceptional!

We were privileged to spend some time with the friendly hosts in their wonderful BnB. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The view was awesome, and Juxia makes the best breakfast! Steven and Juxia were a joy to talk with, and they were eager to share local information and history. You can’t go wrong with this exceptional BnB.

Property is a bit dates, photos are from pre covid, hot tub hasnt worked since covid despise photos showing it operational. Our room was 1990s decor, pink wallpaper grimy white shag carpet etc. All that was manageable. However workers worked on deck til 11pm keeping us up despite notifying owners. We left a night early with inn keeper agreeing to refund a night. After we left rude texts from inn keeper and blaming expeidia etc. Finally called credit card company to intervine. Id avoid this one.

The owners were really friendly and helpful. - all the really good tourist info - been to Alaska before? No! Here watch this bear safety video 😁, the best restaurants etc. They even arranged a really really really good deal on a bear viewing / fishing / float plane trip for me. Breakfast was really nice, the morning chats were lovely. If all B&B's were this nice I'd never stay in a hotel again

这间房屋的女主人是位非常热情的中国大姐。在这里我获得了最棒的b&b的体验。入住的时候由于几天连续的海钓以及kayaking，本打算倒头就睡，但是当推开门看到房屋内的装饰的时候，那些艺术般的设计让人瞬间恢复了活力。 房屋的女主人在homer居住了十几年，她会以一位本地人所了解的信息帮助你更好的规划你在Alaska的行程，让你获得最完美的旅行体验。以及还有许多有趣的当地小故事等待着与你分享。 此外，女主人的厨艺是非常的高超，我很满足的享受到了一顿舒适可口的早餐。而且在我抱怨在比目鱼之都的homer却没有吃到比目鱼的时候，大姐非常热情的帮我把钓到的比目鱼烹饪好带道路上当零食hhh（顺便带走了一份美食食谱） 非常可惜我是用了三晚的机会再最后一晚碰到了这次完美的b&b的体验，需要按照计划第二天离开homer。期待在下次来Alaska的时候在大姐这里能够多住一段时间。

The owners, Juxia and Stephen, were very helpful wonderful couple. Juxia's breakfasts were splendid. Conversations over breakfast with Stephen were awesome. Stephen's tips of what to do, where to eat etc. made our two day visit to Homer perfect. Located on the hill looking over the Homer Spit is picture perfect. The room with the view was cozy and clean.

There are not enough stars to describe the experience here. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable on what to see in Homer as well as the rest of Alaska. They have a passion for what they do. Each breakfast is homemade, yum, and served with a stunning view of the bay. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. You will never go wrong staying here. He common area is spacious with more amenities then there is room to describe.

A lovely B&B with fabulous views of the Homer Spit and Kachemak Bay. Run by a caring couple who want to share Alaska with anyone they can. Highly recommended for someone who wants a real Alaskan experience. Moose, birds and lovely foliage can be observed at Halycon Heights.
