It was beautiful. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The view was amazing. The walk to the beach is easy and very pretty. The staff/owners were so kind and interesting to talk to. We had a lovely time.

My wife and I had a wonderful three night stay. We absolutely loved the views! Snow capped mountain ocean views - super! The room was spacious and had all the things we needed to keep our leftovers, etc… We had a minor problem with the room and the owner came and took care of the situation in an extremely timely manner. This is a mom and pop operation that is well run. We would stay there again if we’re ever in Homer.

We stayed 3 nites, Room, although somewhat dated, was clean and spacious with lovely ocean and mountain views. It had all the necessary components. Owner was knowledgeable about the area.

Beach view at The Ocean Shores was wonderful. There is a path from the property directly down to the beach. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Plenty of towels, a hairdryer and personal sized shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Room includes refrigerator, microwave and single serve coffee maker with coffee packs and condiments. Large picture window provides a great view of the beach, glaciers and mountains. The blind on the picture window is adequate to block light but the light comes through the door curtains and did not block light so we improvised. Located in Old Town Homer and close to some great restaurants. It’s an outstanding accommodation and Mike the host is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It’s our new favorite place to stay in Homer!

Booked an ocean view room. Be aware that means they can still put you in the building second from the shore, rather than oceanfront, and call it “ocean view” because you can see a strip of ocean over the barrier fence. No beach view and no view of the lawn/cliffs like pictures on the site. I felt this was a big rip off and I would not have paid what I did had I known they could do this.

Beautiful place to stay in Homer, Alaska

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. Incredible service from the time we checked in until we left. The views from our room were incredible.
