Great Host! We had to leave early and she did a refund without us requesting. The house was clean and well furnished. The lake view was magnificent.

Our overall stay was good but was cut short with some issues. The owners of the home responded right away and actually came to fix the problem. The house is in a great location. When we were checking in the neighbor did come over and put in the code to the house for us which we didn’t ask him to and made us feel uneasy that he knew the code to the house. The lake was filled with algae so you weren’t able to go into the water at all which was a bummer. All in all the house was beautiful and stay was good.

Lovely Lake Home

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Lovely setting on a level lot with great water views. The home is superbly equipped with every you need. It felt like being in a home and we did not want to leave.

Great place

We had a great time. The place was perfect for the 4 adults and 3 children. The sunroom was a great spot for the littles to play. The kitchen was very well equipped. The town of Naples was nice. We went to a few breweries and a winery. Would highly recommend this place.

Great family getaway!

My family and I just got back from Russ's Roost and we had a great time! The house was perfect and includes everything you need - plates, towels, kitchen utensils and supplies. My kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and being able to walk into the lake with their nets. Fire pit is great and the sunroom was my personal fav!

Outstanding property

Better than described. Family getaway for a long weekend. Picked the perfect place. Kristen went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. Communication, house, amenities, yard, dock, all above expectations.

Great property!

Overall, the home was very inviting and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was wonderful. The lake view is awesome. One thing that struck us a little funny was that the neighbor greeted us and actually provided us with the correct code to get into the garage. It just seemed odd, but we didn't have any issues during our stay. We had a couple of minor issues, but the host was quick to respond.

Lovely home with plenty of room

The house was beautiful with plenty of room and an extremely well stocked kitchen. We loved the sun room, the deck, the fire pit and the dock. Our only non-positive comment is we wish we knew that the condition of the water did not encourage swimming as we are jump off the dock kind of people. We would stay again, especially over a holiday.

Happiness on Honeoye

My friend and I agree that this is the best property we have ever stayed at since we began to visit each of the Finger Lakes. So bright and open, clean and well stocked with anything you might need. We thought the labeling of storage items was genius-never saw that in other properties. Although we did not take advantage/use the deck/sunroom, we would like to say that if you have a large group or kids, you would love both areas. No question about staying there again-we would! Would also like to say that the next door neighbor- J----, was very helpful. When we arrived, the garage door code that VRBO sent wasn't current. Fortunately, we had the right one from the owner. But J---- came over and helped us navigate the entry. Thanks to J....

Great place

The house and property are lovely. Very comfortable. I've rented many properties and this one had the best stocked kichen yet! It was nice to see items in the fridge, freezer and pantry that were left behind by others. So many properties want you to leave the place completely empty. We didn't need them, but found spices, flour, sugar, olive oil...all nice surprises (including ice cream and freezer pops!). Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils - you name it, we found it! Beds were comfy, there were extra blankets and bathroom towels available. The house really felt like a home. I reached out to the owner several times while at this property and she was quick to respond - very nice to deal with. The only downside (for us) was that the lake wasn't good for swimming. As a few other reviewers have mentioned, there's quite a bit of seaweed along the shoreline which we didn't find inviting. All in all, we had a great Labor Day weekend here.

Perfect Waterfront Oasis

This home was perfect for our recent friends weekend. It was very clean and extremely well stocked from the kitchen to the linens. It was spacious and cozy, the property owners communication was exceptional and we would love to retuen again next year.

Nice Clean Modern cottage with perfect view

One of the best cottage! All the facilities were functional, nice and cozy and super clean. A very very good place and we would love to be there again!

Very nice cottage, comfortable and a good location for trips to Letchworth State Park, Canandaigua, Naples and other places. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with appliances, the beds were clean and comfortable, the bathrooms worked fine. Having two walk-in showers was very handy.My wife and I wondered if we had landed on the island of the Lord of the Flies. Seemed like there were hundreds, swarming in the garage and parts of the house, particularly the smaller bedroom.We had hoped to be able to fish from the dock but learned that Honeoye Lake is clogged with seasonal vegetation in the August time frame, impossible to cast or bait fish.The outdoor grill looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years, took one look at it and gave up on the idea of grilling.My wife watched the TV in the master bedroom a few times but we didn't use any of the other TVs. The entry and wifi codes worked fine.We enjoyed our stay but will pick an earlier time in the year, late May or June, next time we head up to the finger lakes.
