The problem is that the property is physically small, it's short. Not a problem for most people, but being 6' 3", I was hitting my head on a lot of stuff, and hunching most the time I was in the cabin.
The cabin is very cozy, it all takes a bit to get used to, but once you do, it is a great small place to stay in. It would be best to get there early to get the heat figured out, if you need to do that. There are a lot of amenities to make sure everything goes smoothly and to pass the time there.
The shower is a little tricky, and I wasn't personally a fan of getting it to work, but my wife had the magic touch to make it a good temperature.
Easy check-in, kitchen supplies were excellent excellent WiFi, comfortable indoor and outdoor accomodations. Beautiful spot on the lake with easy water access. Our family of four and our dog were very happy and comfortable here. Good swimming if you paddle out beyond the weeds.
The house was quiet, comfortable and cozy. It was wonderful to be right on the lake and to have use of the canoe. Trent was great to deal with, very communicative and gave us lots of hints and tips for the area.
It was clean, comfortable and had all we needed. It's immediately apparent upon arriving how much thoughtfulness was put into this place. Thank you so much!
We had a great time the owner was a great person to rent from and talk to very helpful letting you know everything around and things to do and making sure your stay was great and if u had questions he always responded quickly...thanks again for a great vacation 😀 hope to stay again soon ...
Cottage was perfect. My 2 oldest sons and I will be renting it again next year. Cottage had everything we needed and is only about 5-10 minutes from town.
This charming house right on the lake provided us with just the getaway we needed. The screened in porched facing the water was where we spent most of our time when not exploring the Finger Lakes area or sitting by the lake or in the canoe or at the fire pit at night. Its a cozy place that might benefit from some work but the owner was very responsive to anything we had questions about. Close to Naples, Canandaigua, Geneva and Montezuma Refuge but there are great birding spots even closer like at Harriett Hollister Spencer State Recreation area about 15 minutes away that had great views of Honeoye Lake. If you don't need fancy this is a nice place to stay
I had an amazing week at this cottage on the lake. Trent was a communicative and helpful renter, giving me local suggestions and generous with his home. The cottage is clean, well cared for, comfortable, and made for a perfect getaway while remote working and wanting to get away from the city. Working from the screened in porch, or dock itself (the wifi extends to the water) was fun, and at night I used the fire pit right near the water. My hope was for quiet time away, and this cottage absolutely delivered.
Communication from the property owner is amazing. Even though it's a busy lake with houses all around you would never know it from the dock, feels like you have your own quite hangout, with a great fire pit, and private fishing area. The house is adorable, it's an older place, but has all the features you would need to have a great stay. Lots of places to hang out. One thing I would recommend is checking the lakes Algae reports before hopping in, NY this time of year has some blooms of pretty bad stuff that you would want to keep off your skin.
The owner was super helpful in every way to make the stay as enjoyable as possible! The cottage was cute and had plenty of room for 5-6 people. The fire pit was great and we enjoyed it very much. The enclosed porch was nice for coffee and sunrise over the lake. Overall we have a wonderful experience. Thank you Trent.
