    This studio suite sleeps four and is complete with a 2 burner cook-top, microwave, some kitchen prep tools, a coffeemaker, beach towels, plus beach chairs upon request.

    The Bamboo Hotel is one of only three Waikiki hotels designated as a New York Times Pick. Called 'A hidden gem' on a New York Times Review and 'Honolulu's hippest, affordable place to stay in Waikiki' by Travel & Leisure Magazine. 'I loved it and you can't beat the value for the $$'user review, TripAdvisor. Also, just ranked #8 ! out of 98 Hotels in Waikiki on trip adviser.

    Often referred to as an Oasis in the Heart of Waikiki, the Aqua Bamboo & Spa is a lovely property that even includes its own Spa with a beautiful swimming pool and large sun deck in a garden setting called The Outer Sanctuary. There is a pavilion and even a barbecue grillit's a wonderful spot to take a swim, or just simply relax after a day of activity. There is a new Cafe in the pool area that is open from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm. You can have breakfast or lunch onsite at the pool.

    There are wonderful restaurants nearby, including the well-known Cheesecake Factory; Hy's Steak House for a very special dinner; Tiki's Grill & Bar for great food, inexpensive drinks and Duke's Canoe House, oceanfront, food, drinks, with both places great spots for sunsets, people watching and nightly entertainment; and Cheeseburger in Paradise, always crowded, located at each end of Waikiki.

    Our studio has a new air-conditioner, kitchen area with two small refrigerators, two burner stove top, microwave, coffeemaker, color cable TV, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, and free Internet access.

Refrigerator had room for a gallon of milk, also had a decent size freezer in it. Also had a vacuum cleaner for easy cleaning of carpet floors. It had a vent that in bathroom for ventilation. Lots of restaurants nearby and target was close for shopping for food and miscellaneous supplies.

Bamboo - Waikiki

Hotel is a little retro and furniture a little tired, but very good value and the pool area is absolutely fantastic. Room was clean and exactly as per picture - would stay again for the outdoor area.

First adventure in Hawaii

You can find anything around the hotel walking ,it was really convenient. I asked to check out later then 11:00 am because my flight was at 11:00 pm and they help me out with that. That was really nice, thank you!

This property did not live up to VRBO standards. It needs a major updating. It is a dark depressing room. Chipped paint, rusted bathtub, and the internet barely worked. It is a sorely neglected independent condo in a hotel. We left after 2 days and the owner gave us a partial refund, which we requested, and moved to a super hotel. Overall, a very upsetting experience in the heart of Waikīkī.

Check in was 3pm tried to Check in cleaning started 3pm had to wait longer annoyed. Staff treat guests differently if you Check in direct with hotel. If you book third party they are little different. Other than that our stay was great.

Overall the experience was good, like another poster said - they liked the Bamboo Waikiki, but it is getting pretty tired. It could really use some cosmetic work. Possibly a complete re-do in the bathroom.

Delightfully tacky

Delightfully tacky in the most positive way. I bet the Bamboo was suuuper swanky back in the day. Now, it’s pretty dated and unfortunately I think covid killed most of the cool bar vibe that this place probably once had. That being said, the pool area is a great place to relax without a lot of other guests, while being surrounded by a lush tropical garden feel. The room was clean and comfortable as advertised. Nothing fancy, but totally adequate for our needs and in a great location. Hosts were super responsive, including accommodating my last minute request to extend our stay. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

It was a pefrect place for us for two nights. We mostly were at the beach or shopping. All that within walking distance, so we did not rent a car or ride any buses.
