ilikai again!

Here to watch Trans volleyball tourney. Location is close to everything, convention center, shopping, beach, parks, restaurants, etc. Property is old but condo is comfortable, bed good and the were staff friendly and helpful. Views from the lanai are amazing!

Amazing vacay

We stayed here for 9 nights and loved it. Great location, has several restaurants on site, including Empire which was delicious, and had great margaritas. There’s an ABC store right across the street, and a delicious sushi restaurant across the street and a little ways down to the right. Get the lobster roll, best sushi I’ve ever had. (Can’t remember the name) Apartment is Close to the beach and lagoon. Plenty of boat, snorkeling tours at the harbor.Pro tip, rent a car as uber and taxis are very expensive in Waikiki.

Location, location

The Ilikai is well located. Our short stay would have been better if there was more thorough welcoming information. Such as, "The pay washer and dryer are near the elevator on each floor. BYO detergent." "There are two pools: one shallow sunning pool for adults on the second floor and a real pool accessed via the lobby for all ages." "There will not be any dishwashing supplies or condiments or even more than 2 glasses, so go straight to the nearest ABC located ... for supplies immediately on arrival." "There is no live TV, so either watch You tube or Netflix or bring your list of streaming logins and remember to log out meticulously from each account when you leave.".Jean, the property manager was responsive, but I feel the same questions must come up time after time. It's the little conveniences that make it feel homier faster.

Lovely week at the Ilikai (despite initial hiccup)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at the Ilikai #1629, and Jean was a very helpful and responsive property manager. The unit was clean and appointed exactly as shown in the photos online. Great location, and high floor with nice sunset views over the ocean. Our one issue was on arrival, when the ac unit had apparently turned off due to the sliding doors not being completely closed. The property manager filling in for Jean did not check this prior to giving us the door codes when we got to the Honolulu airport, and assumed the ac was broken. Since it was the weekend, he said the ac couldn't be fixed for 2 days, so moved us to another building ~1 mile away - which required Ubering and some hassle. The replacement unit was nice enough, although a lot smaller than the Ilikai unit we had reserved. And it was only going to be available to us for 3 days and if ac wasn't fixed we weren't sure what we'd do. Fortunately, Jean was back the next day, figured out what had happened, apoligized profusely and got us back into the Ilikai unit that afternoon (and comped us the first night). Once we were settled we had a great stay for the remaining 6 nights. We would definitely stay there again!
