Sheets were dirty and way too small for the bed, I went to Target and bought a set to use during my stay. The shower water was either scalding hot or freezing cold, the temperature could not be adjusted properly. I had to call for housekeeping to get clean towels and toilet paper and they never showed up… The room looked nothing like the photos. I didn’t even want to use the cookware, there was burnt grease on the hot plate and I was worried it would smell up the entire room. I could smell the pot they were smoking in the next room. I couldn’t contact the host or Red Awning to extend my stay for a late check-out. The only cool thing was the straw mat I used for the pool and the tiny fridge I cooled my drinks in. I will not be staying here my next visit to Hawaii. Not worth the “savings”. I’d rather pay the extra $$$ and get a nice room at the Hale Koa with room service, housekeeping and late check-outs…

My flight was delayed a day, but my father checked in on time with a security guard because the service desk would not help him. Once he was in the condo he realized the air conditioning was not working, then he used the restroom and the toilet started overflowing. He walked into the hallway and asked the security guard about calling maintenance. Maintenance said our condo was not the only unit having a leak issue. My dad went back up to the room an hour later to see if the problem was fixed but he finds the door propped open and tools everywhere in the unit without a worker in sight. My dad was forced to find a new place to stay and I received a phone call 2 DAYS after “check in” asking how the condo was. I told the operator about the issue and asked if it had been fixed which they tell me it STILL WAS NOT FIXED! I requested a refund for the entire stay because we were not wasting our vacation waiting for this issue to be fixed. They said they needed to get in contact with the manager and would give me a call back, it is now a day after our “check out” date and I haven’t heard back by phone or email. I will be reporting this issue to Expedia separately for hopefully better luck.

Birthday Trip

The air conditioner barley worked, the room was always very warm and muggy. The person staying in the next room started out his day everyday smoking marijuana and the odor seeped into our room and stunk the whole place up (so much for non-smoking rooms!). We were only issued 2 towels to last for our stay of 9 days. Very disappointed in this place!
