Great place with free parking spot

The studio apartment was perfect, and the free parking spot is a must! Clean, great location. Appreciated the beach chairs as well.

Oahu Break

I would have settled for less for the perk of free parking and the central location. But the unit itself was excellent, spacious and clean. We like to walk so it was great to have everything within walking distance including the beach. It was also easy to get to the freeway to explore the island.

Great stay!

Great stay

We liked our stay at Capitan Cook. We liked the location a lot, very close to the beach, shops and all kinds of food. It can be a bit loud because of the central location, but I used earplugs. My husband was sleeping fine. Parking is great, it would be difficult to find parking elsewhere. The apartment itself is clean, a little bit outdated, but it has everything you may need. We didn’t use a kitchen, but it was clean and has all appliances and dishes. I would recommend to add one warm blanket, as I felt cold at night, while my husband preferred this temperature. Very comfortable mattress and bed overall. Having a balcony was a benefit too. Very pleased with our stay, we would come here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a 5 day stay at the Naribe Surf. It provided a great location in the heart of Waikiki. It had a nice view, a full size fridge and a small stove and oven. It also had AC,a fan, and a real bonus...a secured parking stall on the 2nd level! And THAT is a big deal that can add an extra $40 - $50 a day elsewhere. The room rate was very reasonable but the taxes and fees add to the cost. However, this will be true anywhere you stay in Waikiki.Definitely worth a stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my first time booking a vacation rental and it was delightful! The condo was clean, and it had plenty of space & amenities! Everything from checking in to checking out was easy and convenient and the staff was available to answer my questions immediately! I highly recommend this unit and this property as it is affordable and located close to everything cool in Waikiki. International Market Place is about a 2-5 minute walk as well as Royal Hawaiian Center and Waikiki Shopping Plaza are a block away! Waikiki Beach is super close by and an easy walk to daily! I’m already telling my friends and family to go through Captain Cook Resorts for their next stay in Hawaii!

Spectacular stay in Hawaii

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at the Marine Surf. It has everything we could have wanted. We did take the time to go to Walmart to purchase an Air Fryer because we do like to do our own cooking and the air fryer is our "go to". We did bring the table an chairs into the room from the balcony in order to be able to sit and have our meals comfortably. My mom is 83 and found the stools to not be very comfortable. But it all worked out. We simply brought the table and chairs in for meals and then took it back out at the end of our meal. We very much enjoyed being able to play crib in the evenings out on the balcony.Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Great for the Younger Set 60 and under

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit #1204 was very clean and welcoming. However, it wasn't for me. I'm 85 yrs and found that the bed as a bit high, the stools around the table was not good for the elderly. However they made great night stands for me. The bathroom was clean, however, no safety bars or rubber bathmat in tub. Not for the elderly, however, towels were great. No TV instructions, I made due with my I-Pad. I learned to improvise with what was available. Price was reasonable consider the location and parking was included. Able to see the fireworks on Friday evenings. Kitchen was ok, couldn't reach the top shelf, I'm too short. I would recommend this unit but not for the seniors over 75 yrs. Especially the need of safety bars in the bathroom.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this rental for about a week, and it was great. Clean, centrally located, and great value. We didn't use the pool, so can't speak to that. The one issue we had was with the AC. It was leaking off of the balcony and the building shut off the breaker for it, so had to sleep without it one night which was slightly uncomfortable (but there was a fan luckily, so could have been worse). In the morning, the property manager let us know why the AC stopped working and that there was a pan under we should empty occasionally. The building shut it off again the next day b/c of another unit leaking that they attributed to us, and I had to prove to the building that it wasn't us... they said it's usually 1204 so they assumed. Aside from that, it was a great stay! It would have been nice to know about this AC issue upon check in to have avoided this happening. We also weren't clear on needing to register with the front desk upon arrival as that wasn't included in the check in instructions (it didn't actually cause any issues, but had we not had an issue with the AC, I'm not sure we even would have known that we missed a step)

Comfortable stay

Reviewer Comments: We spent 9 nights at Marine Surf unit 1204 in October 2024.The beds were very comfortable. There was also a variety of pillows ranging from thick to thin, so we were able to find some to suit our preferences.The location is good. Close to the beach (10 min walk) but also not facing another high rise. We could see a sliver of ocean and a sliver of mountain. It was well situated for driving in and out of the area, given all the one-way streets in Waikiki.The parking spot barely fit our rental, a Chevy Malibu, so bear in mind not just a height restriction but also length. A shorter SUV may have fit better, and you really need to back in or pull into the spot as far as you can.There's enough storage for two adults with four suitcases plus a bag of motorcycle gear. Space to hang in the closet, two large dresser drawers, and the beds are high off the ground to store suitcases underneath. The table provided surface area to hold pantry items.The stove is small but we used it a few times. If you plan to cook, don't expect room to cook from scratch. We bought meatloaf and lasagna from Costco and the containers barely fit into the oven. We would not have been able to make either from scratch.There was a pan under the air-conditioner on the balcony to catch the run off. We didn't realize it until our first morning when the container overflowed and it was all over the balcony. There were no instructions about that and we would have checked it before bed the first night had we known.The unit appeared clean. Clean sheets, clean towels, clean tub and sinks. However the entire unit needs a deep clean. There were food splatters on the white kitchen cabinets, there was a spill of makeup (foundation) on the wall next to the vanity. Dirty handprints on the bathroom door. And the floors need a deep deep washing. We spilled water and wiped it up with a paper towel that came up black. Very dirty.Aside from the cleaning, we would stay again. Great loc

The room was really clean, everything you needed to cook was there too, just need to buy the condiments. The balcony overlooks the street opposite, which is nice, and I find that compared to other apartments, this one is quiet.we will come back to this apartment.

It was nice and very convenient to the beach & close to stores & restaurants. The steak house on the 1st floor was superb, we will talk about it for years to come. Unfortunately we had a couple of hiccups one being that a fob stopped working but James was quick to fix it. Another was one of the elevators was out for a day. We just had to wait longer for a cab that was empty enough to get in. My daughter & I both slept great, had hot water for the showers. The showerhead was messed up where 50% (or so) of the water leaked around the edge & not going thru the sprayer. That made it hard to get the sand out of our hair. Probably need to replace the shower head.If im ever lucky enough to come back I'll definitely stay here again.

Comfortable Stay at Marine Surf #1204

I loved the fact that the parking and Wi-Fi was included in the price. I also liked the idea that everything was close to the condo and Dukes Market was literally a 2-minute walk. The condo itself was well equipped with everything I needed. Staying in and eating take out saved a lot of time and money. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it.

Chill and relaxing stay

I know it’s part of the rules and stuff but wasn’t feeling how often they had to tell us that the manager wouldn’t be providing any other accommodations regarding tissues, trash bags, toiletries, etc. Also found a cockroach on the 3rd day of our stay. Likely to be due to the condition of the building itself. Otherwise, no conplaints.

Wonderful stay, will stay again

Reviewer Comments: Right smack in the heart of Waikiki, convenient access to food, the beach, and to the pink trolley stop that gets us to Ala Moana shopping centre. With the free parking included, we could get everywhere we wanted to easily. Our house manager. James, responded promptly whenever we had questions and the virtual check in (via SMS instructions) were clear and easy to follow.House was clean and sufficient for 2 pax, my husband and I enjoyed having our own bed during our stay. The kitchen also came clean with the sufficient amenities for cooking/washing. Overall, we loved this apartment & will book again in the future when we are back in Oahu! Highly recommend!
