You know, I liked the Pacific Monarch quite a bit. The room was clean and bright with tall windows facing both the beach and to the side. Everything was clean and neat and I used a couple of K-cups in the kitchen. We mostly ate out but used the small dining room set a couple of times.We used the hot tub on the roof a couple of times as well as the pool. Plus, it was an easy two-block walk to Waikiki Beach.The only knock I have is check-in and the parking situation. The sign for Pacific Monarch is past the garage so I drove by the garage entrance while trying to figure out where to go. Once directed, we had to go around the block to the garage and only then did I see the "guest parking" spots. OK, fine, that's a one-time thing. But then every time you want to enter the parking garage, you have to get out of the car and ask the front desk to open the gate. There doesn't appear to be a sensor or camera to notify them; you have to leave your car and ask. We started taking taxis because we didn't want to deal with the parking gate and Oahu traffic.One suggestion I would make to the Host is to add a small shoe rack, or shoe mat, plus a small bench to sit and take off your shoes right inside the door.Otherwise, we were very happy with this VRBO and would rent there again.
