Nice Cabin

Stay was good, dock and lake were amazing and nature gave us a lightening show. Listing said 3 bedroom, but we only had access to two.

A very peaceful stay

Such a cute house. The lake was beautiful. We had loons, ducks, hummingbirds, rabbits, and we even got a visit from an eagle. A very peaceful stay.

Great up north getaway

Stayed for a week this summer and loved the location. Lots to do nearby in great northern MI. The included kayaks are a great feature of this property as well!

Full of charm with a great view

We loved this place. It has everything you need, and that view/location is fantastic. We saw lots of wildlife (snow geese etc) and a sunrise on the dock was so beautiful. I will say the location of the TV is awkward, but understandable with the layout. Highly recommend!

Ice fishing weekend

The cabin is nice, a little dated. The stairs going to the second floor are a bit challenging. The detatched studio is a bit cold for the winter stay. Overall nice location, clean and well stocked.

Nice place

Nice place would stay again if I didn't have a boat. There's no good parking for a boat. Cottage was as advertised, clean, and recommend staying there. Property management was easy to communicate with.

Beautiful view of the lake

Neighbors were definitely not happy that we were renting this cabin. Signs were posted so that made us feel uncomfortable. There were plenty of things to do in the area so we were gone most of the days.

Lakeside sunsets

The lake view was awesome and sunsets were gorgeous! Nice to have two bathrooms. I would suggest a hand railing on the right side of the steps going to the second floor. Both bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.

Great Home!

Very comfy beds, kitchen very well equipped, nice lake with long pier, kayaks, awesome view from the home! We had a wonderful family time. As mentioned in other reviews the stairs to the second floor are not for young kids, elderly or handicapped but everything needed is on the first floor. Our adult children had no problem with the stairs. Thanks! (Also the property manager was so nice!)

Michigan Getaway

Property is in a lovely location. House has everything we needed but we did not stay upstairs because the stairs were dangerous with no railing. The dock was great as we had coffee out there every morning and our dog swam in the shallow water. It was incredibly hot in the house though as there was no AC and it was 90 degrees. We could not utilize the swamp cooler AC as we didn’t feel comfortable with the steps.

Spectacular Lake View & Charming Cottage

I could spend my entire vacation staring out the windows at Platte lake! This is a fantastic location and a cute little old cabin. As an owner of an old cabin myself, I loved the charm and uniqueness of the building. We did find the wi-fi connectivity was limited if we had more than a couple devices connected, but once we turned off some of our phones, we were able to stream tv without a problem. Perhaps the wi-fi would work better if the router were in a different location closer to or in the living space of the cottage. The stairs take some getting used to. We had trouble with the coffee pot, but the property manager was very responsive and resolved the issue. It's a great place for a family summer getaway.

Nice Cottage

We really enjoyed the quaint Cavalier cottage. My sons really enjoyed kayaking and fishing the lake the most. Our Labrador loved jumping off the dock. We spent hours in the water as the lake floor was sandy and not mucky. Management was easy to get a hold of. I had a hard time finding the address (My fault) and she was quick to get back to us. Only big con was the stairway upstairs. It was fine for my sons as they are older, but I would not let smaller children upstairs as fear of falling. I would also advise them to get a small vacuum for the cottage as some people do like to sweep up extra sand that is accumulated daily. Overall it was a nice clean cottage that fulfilled our needs for a short vacation.

Cavalier cottage

Was a very nice place! The grass was a little over brown but didn’t bother us! The dock furthest out in the lake had a few screw tips sticking through. Other than that was a very nice place and stay!
