"Woman on reception desk was friendly and helpful, we liked her (for identification purposes, she was Catholic from her crucifix around her neck but don’t know her name). The kettle didn’t work. The towel was dirty. There was a firework display at midnight that was very impressive but disturbed sleep. The drag racing on the bypass outside the window was also a nightmare. Other than that, it was completely fine 😆"

"The Hotel is set within the sprawling grounds which includes a wonderfully maintained golf course despite the current heatwave conditions. I was warmly greeted when checking in and got a lot of steps in getting to my room but was rewarded with a room with a view of the course and everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I used the onsite gym which had new equipment in great working condition which provided a good sweat and pump. I decided to dine elsewhere with Reading being only a few miles away. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a well-needed night's rest with breakfast options being varied allowing for a great start to the day. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was impeccable."
