"This hotel is above and beyond. Hotel is immaculate and the guy who cleans the lobby etc never stops working. It’s impeccable. This hotel has fantastic facilities especially for someone who needs to work during their stay, the library is such a fantastic space to work or just wind down with free coffee/tea making facilities. The gym is well equipped with modern machines and weights and again, immaculate. We got free breakfast included in our stay which is $35AUD per person to spend at Monte, the coffee shop/cafe next to the lobby. The menu is vast and the food is delicious. Overall we had a fantastic stay. Great value for money. Will absolutely go back some day and 100% would recommend to anyone visiting Newcastle. 5 bright shiny stars. "
"We arrived late and the staff were a wonderful help. The hotel is very modern and clean and located along the harbour with a great boardwalk to stretch the legs after a long drive. The kids enjoyed Cold Rock ice cream a 5 min max stroll from the hotel. We grabbed some Thai takeaway too but could easily have opted for something on the room service menu. The pool has a great slide for the kids and a small playground. A short drive up the road/20 minute walk and you’re at Newcastle Beach with the amazing ocean baths. There is a beautiful scenic walk along the coast with a kiosk right on the beach selling food and coffee. Wish we had more time to explore but we were only stopping over for the night. Super comfy bed and pillows. "
"Outstanding spacious room. Darby Street is fascinating. Walk to the civic centre for a show. Excellent service from the delightful receptionists Highly recommended "
