「This is fantastic getaway for a couple, or even two couples. We were here with grandchildren who enjoyed everything from the board games, the rustic outdoor firepit, cooking and eating on the deck, and watching tv on the sofa. The shower was very good water pressure and hot water lasted adequately for 4 people」

「Clean property. Close to Custer for convenience of groceries and restaurants. Close to Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Bungalow was very small. Pictures I fell were taken from angles that did not portray just how small it was. The air did not work. At first it did not blow any air, we contacted the host and they had quick response and sent maintenance out. They were not sure what the problem was and we were leaving for the day. 「The Pondside Lodge was a splendid place to stay for our trip to South Dakota! The lodge is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The living room picture window looks out over the pond and the Needles are clearly visible in the distance. It is a very relaxing location - quiet and lovely. We saw turkeys and deer every day going to and from the lodge. The lodge is a short drive to the Custer Wildlife Loop (spectacular!), the Needles Highway (amazing!), and Sylvan Lake (stunning!). 「Restaurants very close. We walked. Room is great for 2 people. 2 kids could sleep on the pullout couch. Appreciated the smart tv. There is a hair dryer . No laundry. Base camp is a good name for it. A place to flop after a day outside. Nice mattress. Beautiful murals on doors. I felt safe as it was right next to a bank and I noticed a police car in adjacent parking lot. 」
