40 acres and 3000 square feet of roomy log home accessing limitless outdoor recreation. Hunting the Grand Mesa, skiing Powderhorn, floating the Back Canyon of the Gunnison or fishing local rivers barely scratches the surface for things to do. Visit the local wineries of the North Fork Valley and feast at any one of the many restaurants in nearby Paonia. Skiing any top notch resort is well within your reach in every direction. Telluride, Powderhorn, Sunlight and Aspen are all within the shake of a lambs tail, 2 hours tops. When the day is done, come back to a cozy fire in the wood stove and gaze out at the beautiful sunsets. From this location, anything is possible in any direction.

peace and quiet, but near town
Lovely property just outside town, with a fully equipped kitchen and breathtaking views. Comfy chairs all around, inside and out . . . well equipped bedrooms, baths . . . we totally enjoyed our stay . . . we'll be back!

Beyond expectations!!
This VRBO is amazing! The home is beautiful, comfortable and in pristine condition. There were 10 in our group and the accommodations were perfect for us. The property offered hikes on the surrounding hills, several types of wildlife and spectacular views. The host was great and answered our questions in a timely manner. The location of the property is ideal for exploring The Black Canyon of the Gunnison and other attractions in the area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that is interested in exploring this area of Colorado!

Beautiful retreat
Wonderful place, away from it all, but with quick wifi to stay in touch with the world. Prairie dogs, bunnies, hummingbirds and more to help you appreciate the beautiful flora and fauna of Colorado. Easy access to all the activities we planned. Plenty of bedding, towels, toiletries and even a couple bottles of wine to help us feel at home. Wonderful fire pit, clean BBQ and horseshoes for outdoor entertainment. Owner was quick to respond to any questions and concerns. Would definitely rent again!

Amazing gateway
The house itself is beautiful, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. One of the standout features of the rental was its location. Situated in a stunning and secluded area, it offered breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance that was truly rejuvenating. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I wish we stayed here longer to explore the area more. The house also boasted a fully equipped kitchen, which was a major bonus for someone like me who enjoys cooking. With its fully equipped kitchen and friendly host, it is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Definitely worth the drive from Denver.

Lovely cabin with wonderful amenities. Cozy fireplace, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen, warm shower, plenty of linens made for an extremely comfortable stay! All of the typical kitchen appliances were available. One recommendation would be to add a television as even with the rustic charm of cabin-life , a television would have been useful for football/parades/holiday movies, etc. Overall excellent attention to detail and highly recommend.
