Relaxing location
The house was clean and everything that we were hoping for. We really enjoyed our stay next visit back there. We will definitely try to rebook.
This was a great place to stay. Very cute and clean, great communication with property managers! Close to everything we wanted to stay but out in the country with a view of a beautiful lake and alot of amish farms to see. We loved it!
Loved this home on Pigeon Lake. Beautiful lake views and quiet street. The home is very well cared for, updated and clean. Beds were comfortable. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed that the dock was so high. We couldn't dock our pontoon to it. Thankfully there was a ladder on the concrete wall that we used heavily. There needs to be more silverware (only had 4 forks) and more than one hand towel and dish rag. Peaceful place!
The house was incredibly clean and nicely decorated. The shed was stocked with all sorts of fun floats for the kids. The lake has no beach so a pool ladder is used to get in and out. The kids loved jumping off the pier. The water was about 2 1/2 feet deep at its most shallow point which was great for swimming and fishing. We caught a few blue gill, sunfish, and large mouth. We would definitely go back again!!
Property was as listed. It was clean and had everthing we needed. While the lake wasn't the cleanest of lakes kids still enjoyed swimming a little and loved the kayaks. Don't have a single complaint.
We needed a place that could house us all well we visited our uncle with cancer and it saved us a lot more then a hotel. Very clean and close to everything around also.
The house was the perfect size for our girls weekend. There were 7 sisters and cousins. The house was big enough for us to seperate and come together :). We would return to this home.
Sara is an amazing hostess. Anything we needed and asked of her was provided with no problem. We needed a mixer and she asked us if needed it tonight or tomorrow. It was delivered at the door by 9 AM the next morning. My granddaughters came and loved the kayaks and went out on the lake. life vests and all were provided for them. She goes out of her way to provide a pleasant experience for her guest. House was very clean and well kept. The view of the lake was excellent and so relaxing to sit and watch the swans and drink a cup of coffee every morning. Would definitely go back.
Great place with a beautiful view for anyone visiting Shipshewana.
Our stay at Anglers place was great. The house is tidy, the beds were plentiful and the linens were clean. I was a little disappointed that we couldn't just walk in the water, but the breakwall was short and there is a ladder, on the wall, to get down. It seemed a little mucky, but we were there to shop, not to swim. I was just bummed I forgot my fi cuzshing pole! The view is breathtaking! All in all, a great place to stay!!!
We love this area! Would highly recommend staying here. The kayaks were used every day by our 13 and 11-year-olds. Lifejackets were provided. We fished off the dock every day. Caught some nice big bluegill, but we threw them back. A bald eagle flew over one afternoon! The beds were comfy, plenty of pillows. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. There was even a slow cooker, nice addition to see. We will stay again in the future. Thanks!
Everything was in wonderful order when we arrived. We all enjoyed our weekend, shopping in Shipshewana, enjoying a fantastic breakfast at Howie's Six Mile Cafe, and other wonderful meals during our stay.
Setting around the dining room table each morning, drinking our coffee, talking, and watching the day begin to reflect off the stillness of the lake waters was so peaceful. When we returned, the evenings were once again spent with the six of us now sitting in the living room reminiscing, laughing until it hurt, and enjoying our time together.
Overall, the home was exceptionally clean. We did notice that the sofa and the one chair in the living room had a big stain on the middle cushion, and the arms were quite soiled. The chair had stains on the seat, and again, the arms were very dirty, as was the area where your head rested. I took the extra blanket and bed covering out of the closet and covered them. The closet doors in the master are also quite difficult to open; they seemed as if they were stuck.
The master bathroom area was genuinely nice and convenient in how it was designed! The overall decor was well done, and the openness and light that came with it,
This location was very quiet, cozy and relaxing. A perfect getaway for us. The living room and dining room are creatively arranged to allow natural light for both and a sense of intimacy. Would have loved to be there earlier in the year to take advantage of the kayaks and canoe!
