"This unit is located at the end of building on the top floor (top right in picture) with good views of the ocean. Rooms are spacious. The two bathrooms share a shower in the middle. All was very clean and plenty of amenities provided. And, it is a very short walk to the pool and cabana. This was our first visit to Molokai and this particular complex might be one of the better surviving condo complexes available. A number were built when the island had more industry and several have been abandoned and others appear run down. There are owners at this complex who spend significant time here and meet regularly in the Cabana to play games or share meals. You might even experience a local band dropping in to play as we did. Annie (owner/contact for this unit) is super helpful with lots of recommendations for the island. It is a fair distance to stores for supplies so one needs to be aware you don't just run to the store quickly. There are also some neighboring dogs that can be loud and heard at night if riled up. Those are the only negatives we should share. If visiting Molokai this is an excellent place to stay. "

"We were very disappointed when we arrived. We knew Wavecrest from previous stays and were looking forward to the highly rated accommodation. However, the condo was dirty, unkempt, and the sight of the bathroom with leftovers in the toilet was shocking.I documented the situation with photos and sent the hosts an email. I waited more than two hours—no response. I had to call the hostess at my own expense, who apologized but did not seem proactive. The next day, a thorough cleaning took place, but after a journey of more than 40 hours, the “welcome” was not what we had expected."

"Valerie was great at reaching out to us prior to our visit to give us suggestions and make sure we had our questions answered. Rainbow Retreat was very well set up and equipped. We met the neighbors who were friendly and I was invited to play pickleball with the group at Wavecrest. I was also invited to play with the in town group. When we were told that our return flights were cancelled and we wouldn't be able to leave Molokai for another 3 days, Valerie connected us with potential places to stay. "I stayed in Hotel Molokai (Molokai, Hawaii). It could use a deep clean and some upgrades. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the staff lovely, and the beds/linens were awesome! The onsite restaurant and gift shop are empty. There are many condo units for rent on Molokai. Shop around. I wish I had. I felt safe, I had a good time, but I could have done better."
