“Room has a smell to it due to it being an old property, old rug and old beds. Old design. It is cheap compare to other nicer and renovated properties. Most properties around the area are old. Staff are helpful, always smiling and courteous. Their housekeeping only puts new towels and cleans trash, we had to tell the front desk daily that we want full service to make up the bed. Seems housekeeping doesn’t clean everyday, that could be why the room smells. Beach view doesn’t disappoint, beautiful……

“When we arrived at the room it was not what it was portrayed on Expedia. The pictures vs actual was very deceiving. Also there was mold all over the curtains. It took two days for the curtains to be replaced. On the first night, the power to the room went out. It’s Maui and hot with humidity. The host stated it was normal conditions for the island to loose power. No it was not as the entire hotel had power. It took 2 days for that to be corrected once the correction was made, the main power……

“Pros-Check in and check out was super easy and clear. Parking was free and great, we were able to park right by our unit. It is central so close to lots of stuff. Shower was hot and stayed hot for awhile! Host was quick and clear on communication. There is a microwave, small ice box, stove top burner, couple pots and pans. The AC worked well and the TV is big! Bed is comfy but squeaky. Cons The walls are thin so we could everything upstairs and around. The only mirror in there was a small one……

“Rooms were clean. Staff was super friendly and checked in with us through out the stay. Lovely beach front resort on a budget. Breakfast fresh and good. The restaurant had yummy fries and good fish tacos. Was not a fan of the poke bowl. But other than that loved this hotel. The location is quiet, yet close to airport, food trucks, grocery stores and not far from touristy things. :) :) thank you Hampton inn.”

“The property and rooms are very nice. Very lush and beautiful landscaping and easy walk to the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The issues that we had is that the air conditioner in the room was either not working properly, or undersized for the room. We had it set at 68 and it was hot in the room. We tried to turn it down to 66 and eventually 64, and I have a temp meter and the room was reading 80 degrees at night. It was very uncomfortable to sleep. We couldn't open the windows……

“Room was brand new. Kitchen was well stocked with all cooking needs. Bar across the street was convenient. Parking was ok. There is plenty but not always close to your room. ”
