Autumn Splendor in the Adirondacks! Cozy Cabin on 5 Acres on Ausable River.

"Thank you for letting us stay in your house. The house was clean, comfortable, and stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, shampoo, body wash. There were liquid soap dispensers at every sink which was great but some were low or near empty. There were plenty of games to play and a front porch with chairs to relax. It had a nice fire pit area. We also enjoyed the stony beach area of the Ausable River which was a plus for granddaughter and dog to play in! The location of the house was near many trails for hiking, biking, paddle boarding and kayaking. It was great we could also include the dog in all our activities. We had a wonderful vacation."

"Perfect place to stay if you are hiking the high peaks or checking out Lake Placid but don’t want to deal with the crowds. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the host very accommodating. The hot tub was a godsend after a day of climbing two high peaks. Would 100% stay here again!"

"We arrived about 8:30pm and appreciated the open door and easy check-in. The room and beds were very comfortable. The shower was great too! Being at the end of the hall was nice - more private. Breakfast was amazing. We loved the fresh fruit, homemade blueberry muffins, and fresh bread and oatmeal with toppings. Scrambled eggs and toast too. Very comfy stay. We'll be back! Close to The Adirondacks hikes we'd planned."

"I highly recommend the Giant’s View Cabin.House: The house is spacious, well-appointed, clean, and everything works. It can accommodate a large family or group. There were only four of us on our trip, which gave each couple room to spread out and have a lot of privacy. The view from the porch of Giant Mountain across the valley is spectacular. You can also watch the sun rise and the moon rise from the porch, weather permitting.Location: The house is quiet and feels very secluded even though it is only a five-minute drive off the main road. We came for the hiking, and there are a variety of hikes within a twenty-minute drive, from moderate 3-5-milers to big ones that climb 3,000 feet straight up. The town of Keene Valley and nearby Keene are small but have a handful of shops and the essentials (a small grocery, a liquor store, a bakery, etc.). Lake Placid, which has big stores, is a 25-minute drive.Owners: Laura and Ray are fantastic. They are super responsive and friendly. We will definitely return to Giant’s View."

"We stayed here for a very special ADK weekend where my husband, son, and nephew were finishing their final High Peaks to become 46ers, and this beautiful old farmhouse was the perfect home base for the celebration.It was definitely a splurge for us, but we were so glad we chose it. The house is an absolute gem: beautifully updated and renovated while preserving all the quirks, character, and charm of an old home. It was incredibly comfortable and full of thoughtful touches; plenty of towels and toiletries, coffee, a s’mores bar for the outdoor firepit, great WiFi and smart TV, and a genuinely well-appointed kitchen.I especially loved being able to bring our dog, and the location in Keene was excellent. Being able to walk to the bakery in the morning for coffee with the dog was an unexpected bonus.Stephanie (our hostess) was fantastic. Our plans kept shifting and our guest count changed several times between five and six adults, and she was consistently accommodating, understanding, and easy to communicate with.On our first evening, before the hikers arrived the next morning, my sister-in-law, my nephew’s girlfriend, and I stayed up late enjoying a bottle wine in this wonderful old house. It was such a lovely start to a memorable weekend... we would absolutely stay here again."

"Quiet and easy to find. Great location for those coming to bag some high peaks. We were close to the Garden Lot which was very nice after a 16 mile day! Host was excellent at communicating! Everything went super smooth."
