"Enjoyed our stay, the staff were amazing and helpful, the accommodations were great and the atmosphere was low key, relaxed and welcoming. The hotel hosted the entire Windsor Varsity Football team and many of the families. We will definitely book another stay again"

"The ability to walk across the street to the oceanfront was nice, so was opening our windows for that refreshing sea air. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable, breakfast was enough to give us a good jump start to the day. Plus, being within walking distance to a great pub (eel river brewing) made our evening complete, we totally suggest to order the onion rings, they’re unmatched!"

"The hotel is very charming and has a lot of history. We loved walking around the lobby and looking at all the photos of the VIPs who stayed there throughout the years. Our 2nd floor room was a little dated and a homeless person with a broken down vehicle and trailer was right outside our window. They were cussing very loudly at other people in the middle of the night and their dog was barking which disrupted our sleep. There’s no AC so we had to have our window open a little bit for some cool air because the room was warm. Unfortunately, the two glasses in our room were dirty, food left by a prior guest was still in the refrigerator and there was trash in one of the dresser drawers – yuck! It is a shame that the restaurant/bar and second restaurant for breakfast is not open, we certainly would have had dinner there. Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast – donuts, muffins, yogurt, cereal, frozen breakfast sandwiches to eat in the microwave. Parking was a small lot adjacent to the hotel and a larger lot across the street. Both were fenced in and they locked the parking lot up at midnight."

"Unique stay in a historic building. Staff was pleasant and rooms were nice and had a unique character to the entire place. My biggest complaint would be that at no point during booking or up until check in had I been made aware that the onsite restaurant and bar were both Closed 3 days of the week Mon-Wed. Being that there is no option other than a small grocery storer for food within 10 of 15 mins of the lodge this was a huge pain. Originally, it was the reason I booked was the ability to arrive and not have to leave for the evening we expected to be able to dine and have cocktails onsite. No breakfast but they did have a coffee pot and a few muffins available in the lobby after 730 am. As with many older buildings and coastal areas there is NO A/C here. only a floor fan and the ability to open the windows."
