"We had an excellent stay at AlSalam Camp. Special thanks to Mr Mana, who took us on a dune bashing excursion at sunset, we had so much fun listening to his stories, learning about Omani culture and the sunset viewing spot was incredible. Sands Dream Tourism Camp
2.5 star property
Bidiya
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (18 reviews)
"Spent the one night here. Thoroughly enjoyed and overall impression was good. Having canvas tents is more authentic but necessarily means a little less comfort than the "purpose built camps" like Oryx, though more than adequate. Food is brought up from Oryx (1km away) and was pretty good. Stargazing was amazing as was watching the colours at sunrise. But the "activities" on offer are expensive - "dune bashing" for £50 was really not up to much and you could walk to the place you are taken...
