Excellent villa with perfect pool and easy access to beach, shops and restaurants. Stayed here with my kids 12&14 who loved it here. Sadly only booked 4 nights here but would definitely return.

Perfect for family vacation

Beautiful and quiet complex. Especially the children were very enthusiastic about the pool. Kitchen/living room and balconies spacious with great views. Makrigialos is a nice village with many restaurants/cafes, small stores and a lovely long beach within walking distance. We enjoyed our vacation very much.

Great location, relaxing pool, beautiful beaches nearby

The villas are located close to a not too frequently used road vis-a-vis a holyday resort. The view to the sea and the mountains is lovely. All addressed issues were handled professionally. The host was very communicative and courteous. The offered "welcome pack option" was very much appreciated as our arrival was late on a saturday. Great pleasure for the children was the relaxing pool. Some minor repairs related to kitchen equipment etc. still needs to be done. We would love to came back in the future.

Lovely Set-Up

A lovely place, situated conveniently close to beaches, various restaurants, local shops and a 'mini'market'. Free parking is available uncovered or covered. None of the properties around the 20m x 10m pool look at each other, increasing your privacy. The only downside was the management dealing with problems etc. We advised them that the TV was not working. They said that that they would arrange for an engineer to come out, but nobody came.

Fantastic holiday location

A lovely property on a small friendly complex. The house has everything you need. The pool is brilliant and your a 10 minute walk to a lovely beach. Makry Gialos is a real find. Quiet but with enough life to make it fun. Thoroughly recommended.

Chilling in the sun

Have had the most wonderful family time with our 2 daughters who have just graduated. Makry Gialos is a wonderful place to spend 3 weeks, with beautiful people! We will be back

Tolle Ferienanlage

Grapevine Villas ist eine tolle Ferienanlage mit kurzen Wegen zum Strand (die teilweise jedoch von Hotelburgen beansprucht werden) und einem herrlichen Pool im Areal. Der Kontakt zur Veraltung läuft per Mail absolut zuverlässig und hilfsbereit ab. Das Haus macht einen gepflegten Eindruck und der Wohnbereich mit zwei Balkonen ist großzügig ausgelegt. Die Lage ist gut geeignet für Aktivitäten im Süden und Osten Kretas, schöne Strände, interessante Schluchten etc. Alles in allem durchaus empfehlenswert.

Très belle location près de la mer et d’un charmant village mais la literie est à changer

Tout était très bien, l’accueil, l'emplacement, le calme, la piscine et l’accès à la plage (via un autre hôtel), le Harbor très charmant avec restos locaux très bons et commerces. Seul hic, la literie. Lit double et 2 lits simples à changer. On sentait les ressorts des matelas, pas cool. Aussi le lave vaisselle à réparer, pour un logement de « luxe », ces 2 points négatifs doivent être corrigés au plus vite!

Lovely house on beautiful complex

Grapevines 18 is situated in a great spot on the complex with views of both the sea and the mountains. It is a lovely, well equipped and nicely furnished house. The pool and gardens are spotless and there are plenty of sun beds. The lounge and kitchen area are really spacious with lovely balconies to the front and back. Car hire is essential as it is a 2 hour drive from the airport. There are lots of beautiful beaches and interesting towns to visit, both in the vicinity and further afield. We left a book there with places of interest to visit. There are lots of tavernas on the beach in Makry Gialos where there is no charge for sunbeds as long as you buy drinks. We particularly liked Melydron which has a good selection of food. There are plenty of restaurants which are very reasonably priced - beware, portions tend to be huge!! (Don’t be afraid to ask to take leftover food away) One of our favourites was Petra bay down on the front. Booking was straight forward and the owner is lovely and very helpful. Rosemary, the site manager is also great, and nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely relaxing holiday in Makrygialos

We had a lovely fortnight staying at number 18. It was very clean, well equipped and felt spacious with 4 adults. The front balcony was great for morning coffee and to watch the sunset in the evening. The rear larger balcony was peftect for lunch, providing shade and lovely views of the mountains - we were lucky enough to see 3 eagles soaring above one day. We didn't use the rooftop solarium but that also had great views. The complex is well maintained and feels very calm and secluded. The large pool is lovely if a bit on the chilly side when you first get in! The local beaches are just a 10 minute stroll away, with lovely soft sand and are spotlessly clean. The sea is clear and warm, and shallow enough to be ideal for children. The bars and restaurants we visited were all really good for food and service, and we found enough choice for us veggies. We would definitely recommend this property and resort,.

The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean and stylish.The pool is pristine and also the surrounding gardens .Rosemary who runs it in Crete is great really helpful and kind.The local tavernas are really great very friendly and extremely competititive in their pricing .We are already going again in October ,cant reccommend it enough .Thankyou !
