Idyllic Cretan retreat

Lovely, clean rooms and excellent personal service from the owners. Great location, peaceful and quiet and ideally placed to explore the beauties of Eastern Crete. Lots of good Tavernas and restaurants and usually good value. The locals very friendly and amenable. Big recommend

Basic hotel with views near lovely beach

Nakou Village is a basic hotel offering self-catering apartments. It is set on a hill and has stunning views to the sea. The place is very clean, the pool large and well-kept. The apartments themselves are not pretty per se, but they are spacious, clean with large verandas. There are toiletries in the bathroom and the kitchen is equipped with most things for preparing a basic meal. When we arrived there was local raki in the fridge, a bottle of water and local cookies, a kind offering by the owners. There is free wi-fi in the room. The one problem I saw with our stay was that there is no daily cleaning of the rooms: you have to do it yourself (broom and mop provided). The other were the beds, which were very hard and uncomfortable. If you are not picky about either, you may well consider staying there. Finally this is a good place to explore the area, which has some of the best beaches in Crete, and to enjoy the local cuisine, in one of the numerous restaurants nearby.

Het was heel erg schoon. Fris beddengoed wat zalig rook. We waren er een week en 2 x handdoeken wissel. Erg schoon en fris. Bij aankomst een hartelijk ontvangst. Water lekkers stonden klaar. Echt een fantastische plek. Alles aanwezig. Het is er stil en weg van het massa toerisme.

Quiet location with view and close to beaches.

Nakou Village is a clean, spacious, basis apartment. Excellent pool. Nice breakfast can be order at extra cost. Staff very helpful.

Great memories

Awesome location, with outstanding view on the sea. The architecture and style were like we dreamt Greece. The staff was very gentle. Sole issue: the mattress was not good for me.

Die Bilder im Internet sehen stylisch und modern aus aber vor Ort trifft man auf einfachen Standard! Top Fotograf! Die Betten waren leider sehr hart und etwas störend war der Geruch aus dem Bad, welches in unseren Studio 119 nicht renoviert war! Die Inhaber waren bemüht unsere Enttäuschung zu mildern und haben unsere alternative Zimmer angeboten, welche aber dem gleichen Standard entsprachen.
