“I came to this town to take the ferry to Honduras. The owners were so kind and the hotel was comfortable. They really went above and beyond to make the experience wonderful and even drove me to the ferry the next day. Highly recommend!”

“Great stay staff were all wonderful room was clean and spacious. Restaurant was awesome both food and service. Pool was large has a swim up bar. We were welcomed on arrival by an alligator (leave him alone and he’ll leave you alone) and lots of Iguana’s. Would recommend renting a vehicle or golf cart the village is about a 30 minute drive. ”

“Staff was very courteous and helpful. We style in one of the « Treehouse « rooms and enjoyed the covered deck. The restaurant had a limited menu but the food was excellent! Everything was spotless. The only negative was one night of noisy neighbors til midnight. The facility is a couple of miles from downtown so transportation costs can be high if you don’t use the complementary bicycles.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Elysian Hotel in Placencia and can’t say enough about how warm and welcoming the staff were. Traveling with young kids can be challenging, but the team here went out of their way to make everything easy and comfortable for our family. From thoughtful help day-to-day to genuine kindness toward our children, it truly made a difference in our trip.

“We loved our stay at umaya. The beach is awesome. The whole pool area/chairs/dock and set up are awesome too. So great that you can also borrow Kayaks and paddle boards (which we did) to have morning paddles when the ocean is calmer. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff helpful and accommodating and the food at the hotel was good as well. There are also many restaurants and a supermarket (10 min drive) close to umaya without having to always make the drive……
