- Check out this cute studio a few blocks from beautiful downtown Independence. The studio is a renovated historic 1895 Victorian home called The Hedges House and is perfectly located to enjoy everything Independence has to offer. Enjoy the 4th of July celebration that passes through Independence or the peaceful park that is a few steps away.

Everything I needed and more
I needed somewhere to stay overnight close to Monmouth and this was a great option. The studio had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Beautifully decorated and very clean. It felt very private and was easy to access.

My wife and I came to Independence from out of state for two weeks for the birth of our granddaughter. Oscar was great with communications and Catherine was the perfect hostess.

Comfortable and convenient
Like Oscar says in the review he's working on the outside. It's very overgrown but wasn't there for the view. We needed a place to sleep. Very close to be able to watch sons college baseball game. The room was great. Had everything we needed for one night.

Quiet, Clean and Cute
It was a cute studio and comfortable bed. The owner was very quick with communication when I had questions.
The only thing I would mention as a drawback is that the bathroom does not have a door, just a curtain. Fine for us but if one needs more privacy it might be nice to have.
